Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.
My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much.
(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)
hello everyone am new here, my application is currently with AHPRA for the past 3 months. However I was told by my R.O that they aren't familiar with the qualification I got from Republic of Benin. He has forwarded my application to the expert/ research officer for further assessment and I don't know how long its gonna take. Does anyone have any idea how long such assessment take.Again as regards the immunization process for the bridging program, can someone enlighten me on how to go about it cos am usually proactive and needs to be prepared
Thank you
@chibundo: In 2014 AHPRA decided on putting on hold all applications in order to determine from a formal review, what to do with Internationally Qualified Nurses and Midwives (IQNMs). For the more common applicants, UK, Ireland, NZ, Singapore a determination was made within four months. For other common countries such as the Philippines and India, it took about 10 months for them to decide if applicants from these countries were suitable for bridging program, it took longer for others. The issue was if the qualifications would amount to a comparable qualification to that of an Australian Bachelor's degree which requires a University Degree (Australian Qualification Framework, Level 7). I'd say it should take about the same length or shorter hopefully.
See the last section "Qualifications that are unlikely to meet accreditation requirements"
All the best!
Hi future classmate! I have arranged accommodation thru AirBNB at least I am paying the accommodation daily instead of weekly. I am flying to Perth by July 6 that is 4 days prior to commencement of classes and most of the accommodation in gumtree, flatmates, and in IHNA are paid weekly meaning to say I can save a few bucks. Besides I don't really like talking about work/classes when I am home unless warranted though so having classmates as roommates might make it less comfortable for me..So it really depends on the person. What works for one might not work the other as they say.I am looking forward to meeting to you soon. ^^,
Hello! I've arranged accommodation with Airbnb too! I'll be arriving on 7July. See you soon!! :)

Ohh, I hope you found a room already.
Are you done completing all the requirements? (Vaccine, WWCC, etc.)
