the nurse/porn connection...........

Nurses General Nursing

Published

you'll all be happy to know

(since I'm sure none of us take part in Mediaographic material at all)

that nurses are pretty much the most common "professionals" found in Media movies.....

at least thats what some guy on a chat line told me (so it must be true!)

but it got me thinking where this sexy image of nursing came from (dont say Media, I mean before the Media, how did it get into the Media)

Maybe the whole taking care of a person thing?

maybe the white uniform thing?

maybe its our intense knowledge of human anatomy?

after I reprimanded this poor fool for his bad come on line, I thanked him for bringing it to my attention and told him not to worry that If I had my way there would be Media with plots and deep meaning.

I know that we nurses both male and female are damn sexy individuals and all of that , but seriously, its strange the number of times ppl say they have nurse fantasies....

I agree with the above...submission, being taken care of, intimacy of some duties, most nurses females, plus nurses (I think?) used to have to be unmarried/no children, therefore young and pure.

;)

As a male I think there is something erotic in the nature of a female (especially if she is good looking caring for me, like a bed bath or massage) I think it is something to do with the intimacy of the job, the fact that Nurses were to be of pure heart, my mom was expelled from Nursing School for being Married and pregnant-both secretly! But most of all for an old man lets say 60 or older the thought of a young female (pure at heart) full of energy and enthusiasm coming on to him is electrifying and even sinful, like what a way to go!

As we all know his heart would in all probability have a massive M.I.:roll

I am not 60 but if you want I could pretend:devil: :kiss

Anyone out there with a short white skirt, no panties, and no barriers to this thought. WOW, how aroussing!

Sorry if I offended anyone out there but this thread needed something and I think it just got it!

Well, I just don't understand what all this is about. I've never once had a patient consider me sexy, at least not that I know of. Of course, the fact that I'm male, 6'4", and 250 lbs, and I have a mustache may have something to do with that, I don't know. And I've never in my life worn white support hose, high heels, or a dress.

I wore support hose, high heels and a dress once. Got paid for it too!!! Didn't feel sexy, though. Didn't look sexy either. My wife tried her best to pretty me up too. (I think she put on a little too much lipstick!) Of course, at the time, she sported a beard, mustache and business suit. Quite honestly, she didn't look sexy either. (Thankfully, she got paid too.)

Just what looks sexy? What's so sexy about nursing? I don't know. But I do know that white support hose and high heels do not go together.

This reminds me of when I was in nursing school, we were required to wear those darn white caps. You wouldn't believe the whistles and catcalls we heard once we put those things on.(We did clinicals at a busy county hospital so the atmosphere was a little more casual than at other hospitals.) Not only that, there were come-ons from the male staff, residents, patients, etc...But once we took the caps off to go outside, all the action died down. (It didn't halt completely thank goodness, LOL.) But it did die down considerably. Weird.

6'4"....250 lbs.....male with mustache.....in a dress and white stockings?????? I think that would be a whole different type of Media all together!!!!! :roll :D

I guess this whole nurse:Media thing is because of the dominate:submissiveness....."nurse may I have my bed bath now???" What guy hasn't thought that?!? :p

Nurses originally started out as men....way back when....and then I had heard that nurses had been female prostitutes that got busted and were taught to be nurses and serve the public in a more appropriate manner. :imbar

Believe me there is nothing sexy about big baggy scrubs and shoes with undescribable matter on them....and it's so hot in most facilities that my deoderant (as well as others) is no longer sure!! :chuckle

He claimed to be very threatened by his RN wife's level of intimacy with her patients...We were all up-in-arms over this subject and flamed him savagely...It might be fun to read the thread again if anyone can find it(I am quite sure it was on this board-lol) I could not being to psychoanalize the origins of the whole Mediao nurse thing-but I know that my husband has been in possession of more then one tape with a naughty night shift nurse scenario(I was a cna and he was evening security when we met-our facility was rife with relationships between food service,nursing,maintenance,etc-young and lusty we all were)But-I will say now that I have never been "turned on " at work-no matter how good looking the patient may have been-he was always ill and I was too busy.....I have had a few males make appropriate comments to me-I think they got off on the power of provoking a reaction more then actually acting upon any thing....These days most patients are just too sick to be horny

Oh yeah...I do remember the post from the psycho husband last year. I'll have to try to find it...

I think they're turned on by the thought of a rectal thermometer going in their you-know-where.........................

Ooooo baby, use EXTRA ky jelly.........

Once had a patient A/0 on a vent who asked every single nurse and everysingle NA who came into contact with him "I need a bath please". Then told his wife he "loved the baths he got and why doesn't she bath him like that". Then SHE started 'joking' about the baths she has to give him when they get home. It went on for days!!!! YECH YECH YECH, he never got another bath from me. He was a pig.

At my husbands request I keep an old cap and white uniform dress around :imbar

I never wear it with the matching support hose and orthopaedic shoes tho...

and we do NOT play any games involving thermometers.

so much for doing my part to dispell the myth
