Define "friend".
A platonic friends ship, like I have with the other nurses I work with.

Huh!?!?? I'm not sure why this is a question unless there is more to it? Assuming you are pass the age where your parents are setting up play dates for you it is okay to be friends and hang out with who ever you want. Now if your talking about hooking up, even then if your both consenting adults, both singe and your doing it on your own time, it's still no ones business.

Haha, yes you are free to be friends with physicians, techs, dietary aides, and even respiratory therapists. But yes, be careful about romantic relationships at work.

Sure, why not? I just wouldn't date anyone from where you work. BAD!

So, fraternizing in the on-call room is a bad idea?

You can be friends with everyone but Dietary.
Although you are allowed to sleep with them.

LOL at Farawyn and DeLanaHarvickWannabe.
Be friends with the people who you want to be friends with. There's nothing wrong with it.
I *do* know some folks who meet their spouses/partners at work, however this one does potentially come with unsavory consequences.
Thought that was Transporters.
