Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

Kathy525: I got worried yesterday as well because I received a letter in the mail stating the same thing so I called and they told me to disregard the letter because my application was complete and for review. Than around 7pm I received an email like yours and I got more worried, so this morning I called Ashely and she called me right back and explained that the email had been sent to many applicants but it was more as a reminder in case you are pending documents. She said it's more automated email and looked up my file on the computer and told me not to worry because everything was in and by the end of the month the decisions would be made. I'm trying to be as patient as possible... only a couple weeks left in June!!

I am so upset right now...I got that email that says I have missing documents. I called and the lady tells me they need a final transcript. I tell her I sent it in in May when I finished Micro, and she tells me it shows courses in progress. I tell her that can't be. I have no courses in progress. Then she comes back on the line and says oh I see now..there are no courses in progress. OMG!! Can I trust these people. In March I had spoken with the then advisor which told me my file had been sent for review, and then spoke with the new lady which told me my file had been sent for review...Meanwhile they just sent my file over for review today!!! Why?????? I had finished my pre-reqs a while ago.... All I was doing was Micro in Jan. I am so upset right now.

Ralph, the same thing was happening to me!! I harrassed them until they had to talk to me. I would call again and make sure. Did you get the name of the person that told you it was pending? They shouldn't be giving you info if it's not your counselor first of all. That's what happened to me, I know u feel like crying and screaming out of rage. I was like that. Ask to speak to someone higher if you don't feel at ease. Hang in there ok! Keep your spirits up and stay positive! Keep me posted. Nova is like this you never know with them. It sucks but keep hounding them!!! You will get an answer soon. Stay calm! :) breathe and i wish you the best.

Thanks for those words...I did get her name and I am calling in a bit again to speak with my advisor... I am just really upset that they take things so lightly. To me this can change me life..and here I am waiting since February.

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!! Woo HOO! Jerziana congrats girl!!! I received the transcript email too and called early this morning. About an hour later they called me back and told me not worry that everything is in. I think they sent that email out to everyone as a reminder. i'm not sure what my fate will be due to the fact that Broward college didn't transfer my first A and P course from FIU properly. At the moment NOVA could either evaluate both my FIU and Broward College transcripts separately and determine if my A and P requirements are fulfilled or they could just go by the most recent transcript which is the Broward college one which states that due to the fact that my A and P course wasn't accepted I'm still missing an A and P requirement to get in. At this point I'm prepared for whatever they decide. If in fact I don't get in then I'll know specifically why and I can just retake a and p one at broward college so its on paper and in their "code" and reapply for any school who's accepting in the Spring. I'm ready for whatever happens. At the end of the day I'm determined to follow my dream so I'll do whatever it takes to get there. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and I hope to join you guys in the near future! xoxo

Thank you everyone for the great info and encouragement!!!!! I emailed the advisor concerning the email and she told me not to worry that they had everything they needed and that my application was being reviewed. Hopefully those of us that are still waiting will hear some good news soon! To all of those that have been accepted congrats again and hopefully we can all meet in August!

I got the same email that a few of you all got. The email about missing final transcripts. Exactly everything in my VIP page has been checked off ever since like May and was surprised at that email. So , I called NOVA of course and the lady told me that they sent that email to everyone just to make sure everyone submits there final transcripts. (What a relief) but I still asked to check my status and if all my documents were in and she said "yes" ..Thank god!!. So, now I am just patiently waiting like a few of you guys. To those who got accepted. first and for most CONGRATULATIONS!!! I WISH TO BE IN YOUR SHOES SOON!!!! Did you get the email of acceptance through your regular email ex. yahoo, gmail, hotmail or in your NSU student portal or VIP page. Because I am unable to make a NSU student page but, I do have a VIP account.

Futurenurse809, I received a phone call and then i received my Congratulations through email the one i provided them which is my personal email yesterday, then it gives you a shark link and and admissions link discussing the deadline and courses you would need to take and the hours they are being conducted,etc The VIP Page will advise you that you have been accepted and details further information but it does not revert into a portal, atleast not for me. Once you receive the congratulations email everything takes off from there you started having access to different portals and links.. you have to activate your SHark ID and your NSU pin, etc. I hope you will join us soon!! Sending my thoughts to you.

Lindalove, i remember you from the beginning and this was still an issue, i thought it would have been rectified at this point already. I would be all over the place, thats not fair but then again you just never know, trust me I KNOW... i have had problems after problems and to the point where i had given up A LOT of hope... stay tough and strong with this, no matter you will get there... this is your dream, your career so jump theses hurdles and get there girl! I know you can do it! Best of luck.

like most you i too received that devastating email regarding my final transcripts around 8:00pm thinking it was my acceptance letter! i also called the advisor and she said i had everything and hopefully i should know soon (by the end of the month). apparently, it was an automated email to those who are pending but that we should disregard the email for now. i am glad to hear that i wasn't the only student to receive this email. i want to wish the rest of students the best of luck!!!

again, congratulations to those who have made it!

arhhh guys im going crazy :eek:....i have a 3.5 GPA and have finished all my pre reqs. this waiting game is driving me crazy...and now that we have till july 1st and im gettin scared...does anyone kno if they sent out any rejection letters? and are they sending letters out based on wen you sent your application in?
