Hey May21 i received a friendship request from you, however I have not been on this site for a very long time. lol I am also a nova baptist scholar, I got sick through my semester and had to take myself out. however i am still in and can provide you with as much info as you may need. Like I did with Eny and Jennifer, I am here to help. I was surprised because I had completely forgotten about this thread. OOps!! If you go back into some threads i posted a lot of info about the uniforms and Eny as well as Jennifer will help you... Congrats girls on your first semester!!! Way to go!! As for those coming in..... relax because you are going to need it. Keep an open mind..... have a great weekend!! You can pm at anytime I dont have a problem. I may see you in August.... as for scholars just go in strong and confident do not hesitate on any questions and correct yourself when they provide you with a negative vibe, just be you..... thats all they want is to be the best and stand out with what you say ok.... you will be fine... best of luck and as always I am here to help you or whomever else. Not a problem guys, always here to help we were the first to start and now you guys are going to be next so hang tight cause you are almost there! I know you all might meet soon for an open house I will advise Zdream since she is also very pro-active in helping you all out as well. Trust me all the help the better.... Just dont underestimate your classes at all... and make study groups and use each other as resources and a shoulder to lean on because you will need it... its going to be a great experience and the campus life is soooooo nice NOVA is beautiful too bad im going to kendall after this but trust me i WONT miss the drive AT ALL.. lol.. we are all feeling it in our class... MISSION... But utilize if you are confused about something or if you have a question... i am more than happy to help... I wish all of you the best and go in strong! Best advice i can give you. Hello future sharkies!!!! i know i havent been on here but i received some private messages from some of you regarding shoes and stuff... you can wear whatever shoes for your lecture but not for clinicals they need to be all white with no mesh on them... and no crocs are allowed but you can wear them for your classes they dont care.... just dont go in barefoot thats all. =) You guys are almost there and our class just finished choosing our clinical sites... AAAHHHH.. its very overwhelming but you all will be fine, study hard and do well. If you need anything just shoot me an email and i will help you i have no problem with that. The books may change but supposedly they are remaining the same from what i hear for your term. And yes order everything through Amazon DO NOT order from the bookstore.... waste of money. Again i am glad to help and if i dont reply fast im just in school all day or busy studying for tests and writing papers... hope to meet some of you and goodluck... use me as your resource if you like, i dont mind. I will get back to you just give me time lol... GOOO SHARKS!!

i agree i think we should all vote for everything so we all take part of the process.... i love everyones ideas, about the community service student government already takes care of that... thought you should know and as a baptist scholar we partake in stuff like the heart walk, etc.. but i could find out about others that are not on the list.... i know we could adopt a child and provide them with supplies, tutoring, mentoring, etc. so we could like into that as well. We could do a lot we just have to get together, and then we can have shirts to go with the event. I know that for breast cancer there's another club that has already adopted that one and Baptist also. But keep the ideas coming... i think we can do a lot together... and appoint officers or whatnot at the meeting... to make it fair game... but its all up to all of you... we could also do something with the salvation army and United Way, etc. get things going and nurses more involved in the quality of care of others. Just let me know what else you all have, i will be looking into others as well.... great job everyone!!! :bdyhdclp:

Thanks everyone, i am trying to be as creative as i can, i love all this stuff and having all of you coming together is great!!! Jennifer i just replied to with my personal email... let me know if you received it. I know another girl in my class thats starting the volunteer group so i will let her know you are interested. That way we can set things up from there and ppl dont have to scramble for things. For sure we have to do community hours we go into community health later on in the semesters.... so maybe the nursing club can get together with the volunteer group or we can group it as one???!! That way we can alway be involved with the community or whatnot and set up a bake sale, t-shirt sale, have our own kendall campus t shirts and we can have Davie approve it, with slogans or motto, quotes etc.. I think we can do a lot and i also want to look into a welcome letter for those student coming into the kendall campus and if guidance is needed they have our contact info if anything so we can help, like nurses would do =) Jennifer that was a great idea.. thanks. Lets see if we can get this going.

By the way i am not sure if i have your email or not because i emailed a couple of ppl with the same info on the blog but maybe it will be easier through email to establish some things.. if you want to pm me with your email so we can start this. I dont think i have you,..and also since I am in the Baptist scholars i know that some need be in an organization and they would love this club.... so lets plan it out. all of us! :stdnrsrck:

Hey Jennifer i actually have the quote written down... but i thought it was too long for ppl to read if we wanted to placed it on something or use it as our motto.... but i love it! Good thing we are on the same page! I just want this up and running already since our fall class already started and i have some ppl that would like to join and i want to get things done already and set for the Winter class thats coming in... our guppies... =) I just want to establish the president and vice, etc. so we can get it going... but i love that quote. I just was thinking more of short to the point and catchy so that ppl get the attention and our point is being set. But we can use it.... love it! I just want to start it and get it going asap.
