Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

Congrats to everyone that has been accepted!!!!! I was just wondering how is it that you find out that you have been accepted? Do they send you an email and then a letter? Also, does your VIP page change or same something too once you're in? Thanks and congrats again!!

first i got an email with my webstar account & nova email info so that was my first clue .. then i logged on to my vip page and it said i was accepted so i called and that's when they told me i had to wait until i received the letter in the mail. they don't like to give decision information over the phone so they'll always tell you to wait for the letter in the mail whether its a yes or a no.

the email i received read as follows:

nova southeastern university. webstar (webstar.nova.edu, "enter secure area" link)

is our web-based system that allows you to register for courses, make payments toward

your student account, request transcripts, and update your address.

some people have already received a webstar account email but only for financial aid info. when i signed on to my webstar account it allowed me to register for courses, view my student account & more. you get complete access just like you would if you were a current student.

I received my acceptance packet about a week later. They used to send them via certified mail, but not anymore.

mari7319, Thanks for the great info! I already received the email for the webstar account but it only lets me access the financial aid information :(

Waiting... and waiting... and waiting... My worry is that the Baptist Scholarship will be filled up and IF I get accepted (thinking optimistically) than I won't get the chance to apply for Baptist :(

I have been patiently waiting since February and nothing changes. I wonder when it is we will hear something. I called a few days ago, and the girl who answered said that the committee doesn't meet everyday so it could be a while. The committee is composed of professors and nursing administrators.

That's interesting- I would have thought they met daily. Thanks for the info

So did I, but I guess that's not the case. Maybe that's why they are so behind. If the professors have classes to teach, they all have busy schedules and that maybe what's holding up the acceptance process. Just a thought I have no clue what's going on over there.

Very true, that may be the reason for the delay. I have been waiting since April so I could imagine how you feel. I just maintain a positive mind and hope they send those acceptance letters soon.

at this point even if the letter they send out is not an acceptance letter I'd be relieved to receive any type of documentation from them....its so ridiculous how long they've taken..and its hard for me to be understanding of them when I know that they are a well established university...with a lot of money backing them up...there should be order..there should be organization but apparently they don't have a well oiled system yet..June should be our month though..

Ok, I feel just a little better about the Baptist Scholarship opportunity. I called the scholarship department at Baptist and I asked if they were still accepting applications since Nova is running very behind, and the lady told me yes they are and to give them a call as soon as I here from Nova to see if at that time I can still apply. This is good news! So hopefully Nova responds soon to all of us waiting so there may still be a chance to apply for Baptist! Woo Hoo! As for what Nova told me, it's no news.. still processing applications as fast as they can :(

Let's just be patient for now.....
