Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

thanks for the post guys! I'm just feeling a little discouraged but I'll continue on this tedious fight! working on getting the drama settled out..things will work themselves out!

It does show as a pending course on my VIP, it does show on my transcript as it is a 3 credit hour course at broward college. But Denver assured me through an email that even though that is pending all the requirements for admissions have been met. He informed me the only reason it is pending is because they haven't made an admissions decision. He also explained to me that this pending class will just keep my VIP page pending, but that's it. My file is complete and ready for review with in a couple of weeks. I say keep the class. I am not droping mine. I paid, and have already taken like 7 tests lol.

little by little a few us our getting notice on what the deal is...I really need some advice from my peers..I know you guys as pre nursing students will some what understand or offer the best advice possible...currently I'm stuck in a messy situation...as my post said earlier on my official transcripts ..since Broward college didn't properly transfer my first anatomy course from FIU it looks like I only took one anatomy and phys. class...meaning unless Broward college re evaluates my transcripts and fixes the error ..then I may have to re take anatomy and phys. over again at BC just so its on paper...and this will ultimately ruin my chances of getting accepted into any nursing programs for the FALL. I'm devastated...I feel like I've worked so hard over my college career...inclusively I feel like I've been in school FOREVER..and right when I think that I'm done with all my pre reqs..this problem presents itself..if indeed i don't get accepted ..do you guys think I should just re apply for the BSN program for Spring and to other RN programs as well? I mean I've come this far already..and I guess i'm just so anxious to start already that I'll do anything to get into a program..another option I was looking at was to apply for an LPN program..but most programs are full and won't start til January...so I'm thinking its not even worth it...I'm severely frustrated but theres pretty much nothing else I can do...hopefully NSU will evaluate my transcripts individually but when I spoke to Denver he told me that unfortunately the person who reviews my transcripts will most likely look at my most recent one..which has all the course work from both institutions...he said he'd put a note on my transcript but who knows what will happen..i need to stay positive and just roll with the punches...whats meant to be..will be..best of luck to all of you..and if you guys could throw some advice or words of encouragement that'd be greatly appreciated..

I totally agree with jerziana. Linda, remember to keep your eyes on the price. Your determination will get you there. Believe me, things happen for a reason and timing is everything. Planning your education only happens once, so whether is this semester or the next, go for it....once you are ready. One semester later isnt going to impact a lifetime of reward. Definitely, apply again and do so early. Stay on the track your on, LPN programs are not worth it. Funny how life is, Ive planning to apply to nursing school for the last four years, I just felt intimidated and unprepared. I didn't even get in to a local LPN program, because my passing scores on the entrance exam were not as competitive ( i get really nervous) and I can tell you, i thought it was the end of the world. So yes, all things happen for a reason.

Anyway, your chances of getting in this semester are still very possible .:)

Thank for the info, it actually reassures me a little bit because i have met all of their requirements... so i can sleep a little better now lol... It makes sense so since he emailed you i am pretty sure he will advise me of the same thing. Thanks for the info, greatly appreciated.

Well today i logged into my vip page and it FINALLY states that my application is currently being reviewed! So hopefully i hear something soon =)

Hi everyone! I logged into my VIP page today too , and it says that its being reviewed, it no longer says I'm missing items!! YAY!!!! Let's hope we get an answer soon!

i emailed one of the advisors and he told me that im conditionally accepted into the ft myers campus!!!! i am sooo excited! as long as i maintain my GPA and do well in my summer classes i start aug 24 with the fall class!!!!!

giggles01, I submitted my application on the day it was due, May 1st. But my VIP page kept telling me that I was missing items. I also received a letter from them saying the same thing.

I applied in February and it said the same thing for a while. Make sure everything is checked off on your checklist. If so it might say that if you are taking summer courses. If not I would give them a call, they can tell you if everything is in. :) Good Luck
