Has anyone applied for the Nova BSN program starting Jan 2010? If so, have you received any letters regarding the status of your application and when did you apply? What was your cummulative g.p.a and are you currently taking any pre-reqs? I applied mid August and still haven't received anything by mail. :(

Hey did they tell you when school would be starting for jan2010. They told me that school would start end of January?

I didn't even think to ask.; I just assume it would be the first monday after new years.

Hi, yes i was told the same thing. She said i would be hearing from them in about 5 weeks. I cant believe someone's already gotten an acceptance letter. Kinda makes me nervous lol

Hi Mvaz003. I am 90% sure I am going to accept the invitation to UM's accelerated program. It is a 12 month program that is extremely intense, but I have a supportive husband and no children so I am in the best situation to go for it. Wish me luck! =)

Hey yes i live in miami dade county. Im interested in the baptist program so we'll see. They told me that you can now attend the kendall campus even if your not accepeted into the baptist program so i may be interested in that, i just want to be sure that the kendall campus has everything to offer that the Fort lauderdale campus has. I will defitnetly keep you updated on whether i receive anything. As far as when school starts i have no idea lol, cant believe i didnt ask either.. Let me know if you hear anything, lots of luck to all of us!

The Kendall campus is nice, its just a lot smaller so don't expect to have all of the resources that the Davie campus has. The classes are smaller and you have a smaller family atmosphere. Kendall doesn't have a physical library or color printers, but we can make do without those. Our sim lab is new and nicer and we have empty classrooms that can be rented out to study. Also parking is ample and easy to find in Kendall. The faculty is alright, no one said nursing school was supposed to be easy right? The former classes admissions counselor is no longer with Nova so expect everything to be disorganized and delayed. More than likely your semester will start late because they won't have admissions letter out anytime soon.

I spoke to the admissions advisor and she said interviews would go through November and acceptance letters through December so there's still plenty of time ... classes begin at the end of January.

My interview went well ( I guess) I'm not too sure; I was very nervous. I did answer all the questions and I had a few questions for them at the end. I guess we will have to just wait and see....

How soon after you submitted your application did you hear back about your interview? I was told I would hear from them either way. Also, did they only call you or did they send an email as well? I think there's some paperwork you have to fill out before the interview ??

I submitted my application on September 30 and I got a call about the interview on November 3 or 4 2009. I got a call and then I received an email later that week. You have to fill out a paper stating that you understand the dress code of the school. you turn it in after your interview. all the instructions are sent in the email, don't worry.
