Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

i'm also planning on taking the ncelx in november. am putting it off until then because i want to use suzanne's plan. i've been hard at work doing her first tip and have come to the end of that. in the meantime, before i get her next tips, i plan on studying the book, prioritization, delegation & assignment by lacharity, etc. we did a review at our school, too, which i hope to be able to review. i don't know if i can do all of this -- don't know how much time it will take to do suzanne's plan.

any ideas for making this forum extra helpful?

i really appreciate the fact-throwing forum.

keep studying! (but remember to smell the roses!)

Goodluck to everyone!

speak those things as though they were and it will all come to pass!!! we are going to make it i just got a feeling!!! don't forget to give god the glory when you come out of this!!!

hello goal2bern,

you are sooo right god does not give you more than you can handle. times like this are tough but through friends on all nurses that are supportive and god's strength these are the ingredients to pass. good luck to everyone!:redpinkhe

good luck to all november test takers... god bless you all! study well and lift everything to god.

let's hang in there!

today's scripture

"our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long. yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever!" (2 corinthians 4:17)

today's word

does there seem to be a problem waiting for us no matter where we turn? do we sometimes wonder if our dreams are ever going to come to pass? maybe we've asked why god would allow us to struggle in our job, our relationships, our health, or some other area of our lives. god allows us to go through challenges because he knows it's the struggle of life that builds strength in us. if god simply delivered us from every struggle every time, then we may not continue to grow and learn to trust him. when we persevere through difficult times, we'll begin to realize a greater level of joy, peace, victory, and abundance than we ever dreamed possible. let us remember, god loves us too much to leave us where we are. he's preparing us for something better!

a prayer for today

god, we thank you for giving us what you know we need. help us to learn and grow through our struggles as we trust you to bring us out stronger than ever. in jesus' name. amen.

Beautiful post...Thank you

i have been doing suzanne's plan. next week i am really going to focus on studying -- my last full week before the test. this is what i am going to do:

  • suzanne's plan

  • study for at least 30 minutes a day on infection control

  • study at least 30 minutes a day on medications

  • study the notes i've taken from rationales and the facts throwing web site for at least an hour a day

  • study things on the internet that have been mentioned that are helpful for the nclex review & from the facts throwing web site for at least an hour a day.

  • finishing my prioritization, delegation & assignment book by doing 5 pages a day in that book.

i have printed myself a november calendar with my study goals on each day, and then i cross them off as i get them done.

are there any other november 18 test takers?

good luck everyone! this will be my first time, and believe me, i have a healthy regard for the test from reading posts on this site.

thanks to all who have posted for your inspiration!

I just took the NCLEX-RN exam this morning...and just like everyone else, I feel I failed it miserably :(. The computer stopped at 77 questions, very freaky! But after reading about how everyone normally ends up with 50% correct and 50% wrong answers, I feel a bit more at ease now. I guess now I'm gonna have to do the waiting game with everyone else, huhu...

Edit: LOLz, didn't realize I was posting on a revived thread, wahaha.

Hey Future Nurses :nurse:, I also take my exam in Nov. I broke down my incredibly easy book into chapters with tabs and dates to complete by dates, and take a 100 quetion quiz:typing from the saunders everyday:bugeyes:. It is okay for us to nervous and even scared, but it is what you do with that energy that makes a differences :pumpiron:. You want here something funny. I love to watch soaps, but when I get chance to watch, I tell myself "Their already astablish, so go study". LOL! So find something that will motivate you to stay focus on the goal ahead. So people LET"S ROCK the NCLEX. Love, Peace and Blessing.

Hi everyone i test in December but i want to start building the momentum now.

studing the rationale and strategies is what am into. This site has been my source of support and i cant wait to share my success story too.I am praying to God to give me this RN as my Holiday gift.Goodluck to you all

To all Nov 2008 test takers-BEST OF LUCK!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

I took NCLEX for the first time last Nov, and although I walked out of the test center feeling sick because I had NO IDEA how I did, I did pass, and so can you! Stay positive. Most importantly, TAKE YOUR TIME with each question (You have 6 hours to complete remember). Many of the questions I recall were all about prioritization- which patient would you assess first (remember ABCs), what action would the nurse do first,etc... Be prepared and focus.

Ok.. so as some of you know I took the NCLEX for the second time on Thursday, and I AGAIN had 265 questions. This time however, I walked out of there in a different mood. Not better, just different. On my way home, I told myself regardless of the outcome, I have alot to be thankful for. I prayed and told God that if it is not my time, I will not question him. I will accept it. I did find out this morning that I passed. :bowingpur It it a surreal feeling, almost shock like... I am relieved that I will never have to take this again. Don't know if I should laugh or cry. I want to thank everyone on here for their encouragement and prayers. I wish all the luck to everyone who is testing, and I will pray for you as well.

To stefano...please keep me posted I will thinking of you on the 12th!

Hey guys! Goodluck to all November Nclex test takers! My tips would be to reveiw Nursing Content only when you feel weak or uncomfortable in that area and above all do as many practice questions as you can! At least 2000 before you test. If you're not reading all that much continue to keep your brain active by practicing questions and reading the rationales!! Goodluck guys it's possible!

Congrats adiaz731!! I felt the same exact way when I came out of the testing center. Then I saw my name 3 days later and was just in shock....I jumped up and down yelled to my dad to come look at the computer and I cried when I called my Mom overseas. I just had to since it was her childhood dream to become a Nurse and I fulfilled that in someway. =) Anyways Congrats!!! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! You should go out and celebrate! :D
