i'm also planning on taking the ncelx in november. am putting it off until then because i want to use suzanne's plan. i've been hard at work doing her first tip and have come to the end of that. in the meantime, before i get her next tips, i plan on studying the book, prioritization, delegation & assignment by lacharity, etc. we did a review at our school, too, which i hope to be able to review. i don't know if i can do all of this -- don't know how much time it will take to do suzanne's plan.
any ideas for making this forum extra helpful?
i really appreciate the fact-throwing forum.
keep studying! (but remember to smell the roses!)
You are certainly on the right track. My class of 36 girls all passed but two using saunders 4th edition and the two that didn't pass were having personal problems at home. I did between 1-200 questions every day for about a week and a half before the test (RN) and if I didn't know the answer I didn't just click the button and look at it, I looked it up in the saunders book (key element). If you read it, write it and do it you will have a better understanding of it! Good luck!:nuke:
Thank you so much for merging this site!
Yesterday I changed my testing date from November 18 to November 13, which is tomorrow. I just felt like it was time to go and take the bull by the horns and get it over with! I graduated in August, so have been studying for the past 3 months, taking some well deserved time (I think) off to spend time with family!
I know we are not supposed to study the day before our test, but actually I think I love studying -- am one of those schoolaholics, I guess! My daughter called & wanted me to come hang out today, so I did. Now I'll put in another hour before TRYING to get a good night's sleep.
I am trying not to be nervous, am going to try to relax during my test tomorrow. Will let you know how I do and sure would appreciate your prayers tomorrow!
I finished the last of the review questions on my Saunders CD this morning and am almost all the way through my Priority book.
Thanks to all of you for your support, and good luck to all of you!
btw, before you take your test here is alittle prayer:
dear god,
today i will have my examinations. you know how important they are to me. so i am humbly asking your gracious help and divine assistance. i pray to you, my dear god, please never let me be at ease and give my very best. please never let me guess nor rely on pure luck, but enlighten my mind and let me think clearly. please never let me resort to chances nor to dishonesty, but let me work to the fullest of my ability. i pray for your guidance that i as i think, i may find the right solutions, i may be able to correctly answer the questions, i may solve those difficult problems. i ask, o god, your intercession, that as i write, i may not be careless nor overconfident, i may not be distracted but be more concentrated, i may not be in a hurry nor take the exams too lightly. today, o my lord, i will take my examinations let me, with your help, give my best effort. let me, because of you, receive the best and fruitful results. this i pray in jesus name. amen.
