If you look at the calender for the school, it may show the 1 time a month Nursing program meeting, scrolling month to month.

This is from the NLC/SNA pres: "The Advising department at Northlake is putting on a Health Professions Day on Thursday Oct. 12th from 10am to 1 pm" I'm not sure if the ECC staff will be there or what, but maybe you can call the advising center to ask for details.

OK - what did that fish say in Finding Nemo - "Just keep swimming" - but my arms are sure getting tired!!

GOOD LUCK FUN AND ALL YOU NL STUDENTS - ON TOMORROW'S EXAM!!!!!!

The EC pilot group took their test on Monday, the rest of us are Friday. We are all scared out of our minds! But I do appreciate all the help that many of you have given to all us "fish" (Freshmen) - the advise, notes, etc.!! I'm glad we all share the love!!!!!!

Thank you!!! :) ...And good luck to you and the ECC J1 gang on Friday! :)

gauge14iv, TY, TY, TY! :)

I need a one question test: "Is your mind mush? Answer yes or no." FYI, "NO" is the correct answer. Why? .....Because if it was mush, you'd be too confused to answer it correctly on purpose. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Good luck on your test!!!

Thanks! :)

I've absorbed about as much as I could possibly absorb....Even still, ask me a question, and I won't be able to answer it outright. That's how much information there is!

I'm praying on common sense, and the ability to critically think to decide what the answer is! :uhoh21:

Wooooooooooooooo! Test 1 is over for me!

I made an 86. The highest grade that I actually heard someone say they made was 88, so I'm not sure if anyone made an A. (Twenty of us were allowed to take it on the computer, the rest using scan-tron. So, I'm not sure what the class average is, nor did everyone actually know their grade by the end of the class.)

It was a very weird day. Technology wasn't our friend today, which just puts a bind in teaching from a Powerpoint. (I'm not sure if the college instructors have the same protocol, but I know that the high school where I used to work, every teacher had to show that they were using a certain amount of computer technology in their teaching plans.) :uhoh3:

OK.....time to practice assessment!

fun,

how did you feel about the test, did you think it was hard, or easy?

I thought it was pretty hard, i made an 84 on it. We had some in class with a 98, don't know how they did it, I guess some just have it easier and some with a 72. I know that I studied my butt off, lol. Did everything i could think of. I guess there is a reason why they say : " Once an A-Student , now a nursing student!!!!" Well, let's just hope it will get better.

I didn't find it 'hard' per say, but I know I didn't focus on the same concepts on some of the things asked. I don't have a photographic memory, so, there's no way I can remember all of it...every little detail! :uhoh21: I

Compared to someone making a 98????? ummmm, I guess it was very difficult for me! :chuckle More power to 'em! (You never know, you may be the one making a 98 on the next one!) :)

I read the chapters while answering the Study Guide questions, answered questions on Medspub, answered questions on the Saunders NCLEX book I purchases, as well as my NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy book I purchased.

I personally feel good about my 86. I know it's not what I hoped for (an A), but I know there are people who didn't pass, or barely passed. I feel very fortunate.

I'm just taking it as, now I know what to expect.
