I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
thx , guys, I know and have heard that in nursing school you should be happy if you be able to pass. And I am, but this is just the first test, and what scares me, is that it will only get harder. So, gee, how will I do on thoseto come. I practiced Meds PUb, read all the chapters, everything. I just don't kow how else I could have prepared better for it. IT's just scarry.
First nursing lecture exam this week!Good luck to all J1 students! (I'm not sure of EEC's lecture schedule....NLC's is Wednesday.)
Hope everyone's classes are going well! October's right around the corner!!!!!!!!! :monkeydance: I hope you all get in!
FYI, I'm the SNA's webmaster for the NLC campus. I haven't been given my access code yet, so yes, it's still old info. :uhoh21: Hopefully, I can get it all changed before the Spring '07 starts. :chuckle
Back to studying!!!!!!!!!!!
hahaha, Fun. I am the SNA webmaster for ECC. I haven't been given the access code yet either.

LOL! Too funny! We'll have to compare notes or something. :chuckle
The phrases that kept me sane:
"B's get degrees"
"The only thing standing in the way of excellence is perfection"
Love the quotes! (Along with C=Continue....but I'd rather not have to go there.) lol
I glanced at your "SuperBikinMomma", and thought it said, "Super-Bikini-Momma". :chuckle

HAHAHA!!!! NO Bikinis on THIS bod - the spandex bike shorts scare enough folks! I think I blinded a few drivers in Dallas recently!
Oh - btw - Launchcast radio on yahoo music has a lullaby station under the kids music genre that is just a great wind down after studying your little head off. And sometimes its fun to rock the big kids to sleep too when they will let you :)
Has the ADN program at ECC changed since its program page was last updated in April 2005? Have they added any additional courses required to obtain the ADN for instance CHEM-1405?
I have been looking at the following page:

Your best bet is to attend an information session. There are some upcoming changes for future applicants, but I'm not sure what all it is.
Also, the cost of tuition isn't correct on the website last time I looked. (Which was a longgggggg time ago...they may have corrected it by now.)
As far as I know, Chem is not one of the changes, but it would be best for you to get the correct information straight from the ECC Nursing Dept. :)

Well after doing a little digging, the 2006 - 2007 catalog lists the ASN degree plan. Other than course number and course name changes I don't see any difference between the two.
You would think that the school would try to maintain its website with the most up to date information then second that with the printed catalog. Am I wrong?
Do you know how often they have these information sessions?
As for tuition, it still appears to be $36/h for in county residents and $66/h for out of county residents. This is only slightly higher than what I would pay for a single hour at TCC.
My plan is still get through the prerequisite courses and all of the other non-nursing courses as if I am attending UTA's School of Nursing. That way if the BSN program doesn't work out this time around I can still (wishful thinking) get an ASN through another school and still apply for the RN to BSN when the time comes without having to worry about prerequisite courses.

I think some places are still trying to get on the Internet bandwagon. I'm just glad they have ANY information online! There is a list of the information sessions on there somewhere, too. IIRC, they try to have the sessions once a month or so.
I'm waiting for a reply from one of the advisors, maybe within a day or so i'll know for sure.
