GTChick,
I am taking Micro. next summer and Ms. Silva doesn't teach Micro. in the summers. I had Ms. Silva for A&P 1 and A&P 2. I really liked her. In fact, the semester before I had planned to take A&P 1 I went and "interviewed" several teachers at different DCCCD schools to decide who I wanted to take it with. Before the semester started I had family issues and ended up taking a year off school. When I finally did get to take A&P 1 a year later Ms. Silva remembered me. I couldn't believe she remembered me with all the students that come and go within a year's time. As long as you aren't a slacker then you'll do fine with Ms. Silva. She is more than willing to help those that make an honest effort. I also heard her say that her evening classes have better students - they tend to be older and more focused then the right out of high school students. If it wasn't for my stupid job I would be taking Micro. this Fall with Ms. Silva. Best of luck to you!

My teacher is M. Silva. Are you taking it there, too? If not, do you want to take it with me?
I have some useful drug info. if anyone is interested! I was reading through my Pharmacy Tech book and it has a chapter of the top 200 most commonly dispensed drugs in the US. The book is 2006 so this info. is very current. They are listed from most commonly dispensed to least commonly dispensed. The list includes generic name, trade name(s), class / use, and strength / form. I just thought this might be some helpful info. for our group. I don't know why I didn't think of sharing this info. sooner. I scanned the whole list (7 pages) into PDF files. If anyone would like this info. please send me an e-mail at [email protected] requesting drug info. and I will send them to you.
...Finally got the e-mail from Kanora about Monday's meeting at ECC.
I had to take my daughter to the dr. in Irving, so I stopped by the school. They still didn't have the syllabus available. I didn't go check the board, but I plan on doing that Friday anyway.
I picked up my scantron for my math test Saturday as well.
Did y'all have to show a receipt or what in order to take the class????? I scheduled & paid for mine over the phone....no receipt!

Last semester I scheduled and paid for my care plan class over the phone and nobody asked for my receipt in the class.
By the way, I won't be able to go to the NSA meeting at NLC this Friday, because I will be in DC. I decided to have a relaxing weekend before school starts so I booked a last minute trip. :monkeydance:

Jaxia,
Yes, I have Psych. 180 from a university that I am trying to use to fulfill the prereg. Psych. class. I am going to call the Health Occupations Admissions Office in the AM and get the 411. Seems like this might be part of something else I had asked about before and they told me that I could either do it or they would do it for me when they get my application package.
