Maybe someone can answer this question. I am kind of worried. I picked up my paperwork for my physical from the Dr. office yesterday and I just noticed this morning where the Dr. filled in his part that they misspelled my last name (they added an extra letter in the middle) but they have my b-day, ect. the same. Should I be worried about this???
No, it's not a big deal. All of your other info is correct, right? My name gets misspelled all the time.
If you are worried about it, have the Dr's office fax you a corrected one.
Hi, all:I've been lurking for a few months but thought I'd finally write! Very interesting/ informative/ helpful people here!!
Here's my story:
Divorced a few years ago - son just graduated HS - and I'm almost 50!! Started thinking about what I wanted to do for ME after my son graduated and he didn't need me anymore (I don't think that really is going happen anytime soon!!! but MY life will move forward) - and I kept coming back to nursing. I have a BS in Business and have all my pre-reqs and support classes completed with A's in all. But I need to sale my house before I start nursing school so I'm looking at Fall '07.
I need advise/information on my question -
I intend to work PT while going to school but will also have to take out loans for tuition, books, living expenses, etc. How does that work? Do I try to figure out what I need for the full 2 years or do I borrow each semester or what???? Please educate me on the loan/money aspect.....
Any words of wisdom????
Do you think I'm crazy? Too old?
If you are going to need a loan that will help to cover living expenses, etc. I would get a private loan (I recommend Salliemae Tuition Answer Loan because the check is mailed to you) and make sure you get enough money to last you for 2 years. Also, apply for the loan while you're still working because your chances of qualifying are better and you can most likely get whatever amount you need.

Thanks everybody for the information. I am looking at the EC/NL program. Will probably go NL. I've heard Mt View will have a program starting Fall '07. I may look into that as that is where I took my pre-reqs and support classes.
Haven't seen any accelerated programs to BSN for those who already have a BS? Do you know off the top of your head which colleges in the DFW area offer it? Thanks a lot.....
