lol...I'm the same way. I looked through the fundamentals book, the Nursing PDQ book, and the assessment book last night.

I have the Nursing PDQ on my PDA, but the same med-surg companion isn't available on PDA yet. :uhoh3:

That stinks, but I think with all the other software I have, I may have everything covered that would be in the med-surg companion. lol

I'm almost scared to open the software up so soon...scared I might jinx myself. lol

I got 2 issues of Nursing2006 in the mail today. I looked over & read some articles in both of them.

(This is my 3rd magazine subscription I have purchased on Ebay.)

...Very interesting articles in this magazine....

It always makes me feel better to learn I'm not the only one :)

I'm so torn on getting the subscriptions. Maybe I can ask for them for Christmas...? Do you think they are good for students?

I think they will come in handy. I bought mine off of ebay, so I only paid around $10 or less per subscription.

Hey Jaxia,

The magazines are GREAT for students! I have 3 subscriptions and they have helped me immensely. I hope you're able to the subscriptions you want :D

I guess I need to start updating my wishlist :D

I had a crazy few days where I thought I might take 18 hours this fall to try to get into a BSN program at TWU. I found out that it takes a 3.8 overall to get in though, so I would have to take Chem, Micro, Stats, Nutrition and a Fine arts class and get an A in all of them.

I think I'll just focus on the RN-BSN later!

I had a crazy thought with doing that, but for UTA. I'd still have to take 2 classes before I could apply. So....as I said before, I'll let my employer pay for my RN-BSN. :D

Also, I thought to myself. What if this isn't what I want? What if I can't stand it after I finish?

An ADN degree is much less wasted money, and for myself, I have many classes finished to easily earn a Bachelor's in a different degree.

Although, I can't imagine not liking it because I enjoyed being a medical assistant so much, and I always felt like I just wasn't as high up as I needed to be. I set out to be an RN, and I won't be happy until then. :balloons:

There is no competition getting into the RN to BSN programs, I will say that! And the classes for transition or bridge type programs tend to be more life and family friendly. Much of TWU's bridge program was online with occasional trips to campus except for certain classes. The only clinicals were community health - which was FUN! (School nursing, case management and occ health were some of the sites available) and a leadership clinical where you got to pick the person you wanted to follow for a limited number of days.

Oh and THR has GREAT tuition and books reimbursement for full time employees.
