NMC Test Online

Published

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

thanks for the info @kurokocchi. In case there are errors, does it have to be signed? or we can just simply white it out? Anyway, how's your NMC application going? :)

Have it signed and dated like you would in your patient's chart. That's what our registrar did. As for my application, I am still waiting for NMC to transfer my old scheme papers and asked both ASC and Drake International to help follow them up. I will call NMC again tomorrow for a status update. I would start having those forms processed again if I REALLY have to but the cost I would incur is daunting so I'm just crossing my fingers for now.

Hey guys, I've been trying to register since 2012 and considering re-starting (I gave up after I was one of the very first to complete CBT test last November but failed because of all the problems, haven't re-sat since)....

I already have a decision letter from the old system...I noticed a lot of you seem to be submitting docs after CBT- is this the way the new registration method works? Is anyone still under the old system where they already have all your docs anyway?

Also has anyone on the boards sat the OSCE's yet?

Thanks,

Grace

Submitted all the downloaded forms and the website application page.

How long before I can follow up the status of the documents received? Documents from PRC were received last Monday according to Fedex. The other 3 are now in transit to Hongkong and that from school was just sent earlier today.

I really hope that NMC gets a hold of their skills in sorting and verifying all the documents.

I have just attended an OSCE Simulation training in my Trust, it is very helpful as you can have the feel and know what to expect on the day of the exam, Im currently working as an HCA in NHS so I would recommend for anyone in the UK working for NHS to contact your Practice Educator to book you in for trainings, these are normally for Student Doctors and Nurses. There are different scenarios and actors and actual dummy who talks, which will greatly help for the exam.

Your input was very informative @gsimps. What is your review material for the OSCE? Mind sharing it? My email ad is [email protected]. Massive thanks!

Yes, @gsimps very helpful comment!! Stressing about how to tackle preparing for the OSCE while I await my approval for the exam in the assessment queue.

What trust offered that simulation course? I'm willing to attend any/all courses I can find if their willing to have non employees attend.

Email is : [email protected]

Many thanks!!

You can see in your portal if they've received it. Keep your tracking number as well. It takes 15 days though after they receive it before you will see it in your portal. 15 days, not including the

days it took from phils to nmc. :)

Is it true that anyone can be a nurse anesthetist in UK without undergoing this registration process by obtaining a student visa? One told me she's about to go and will no longer take the IELTS

Hi I dont have any physical materials on hand atm, but I will try and ask for some materials and guidelines then I will share it as soon as I get hold of any. Will email you some info. @petrickRN

Absolutely not. You can not work as a nurse without going through the NMC process. Student visa is just that a student visa and work is limited on this as you are supposed to be in full time education
