  1. I just want to say a massive thanks to all for the encouragement and support. I've passed my OSCE and now awaiting my PIN from NMC to be an official UKRN. May your dreams be a reality soon too! ^_^
  2. Hey andy_rn! Yep! We're at Bonham Carter. I'm on the 5th floor í ½í¸Š
  3. I transferred agency because I didn't feel ASC's support when I failed my first CBT attempt. I was interviewed last November 2014. Finally, after my second try, I was able to get a 'Pass' remark and applied in Omanfil. It was a tough interview(theory)/practicals (application) last April 24, but the guys from UCLH did so for them to gauge if we can take the OSCE in one go. Was supposed to be here in UK last July but had a problem with my visa application. Well, September ain't that bad eh? Everything's surreal still and we'll start with the OSCE prep by Monday. Will let you know about our review. Wishing you the best @mcqueen92!
  4. @andy_rn I researched about the accommodations there and found a flat as low as £180. I still have to conduct my ocular when I get there though. Wow the hospital is really preparing you guys for battle, when are you guys going to take the OSCE? Can't wait to schedule mine once I'm there. ^_^ I have packed a couple of winter clothes, don't want just these items to occupy the space of my luggage, haha! How much pocket money did you bring? Looking forward to meet y'all!
  5. Hi andy_rn! Yup am flying next week. Good thing I transferred agency hehe. Are you gonna stay in a UCLH provided accommodation or are you going to transfer? Lastly, how is your preparation for the OSCE? See you guys soon ^_^
  6. Hi fellow nurses! Is this forum for UK or Canada nurses?
  7. At first I thought if a trust signed the letter then they're prioritized with CoS, I was wrong. Walter was the one who assessed me on the practicals when his team visited last April. As seen on the video, 168 nurses were recruited, only 12 got sponsorship certificates. This is frustrating. SMH.
  8. Hi! Is there anyone here from Omanfil under UCLH who will be deployed by September 23? Do drop me a message ü
  9. @andy, I got a tip that there are 30 CoS lined for UCLH. Hopefully you're one of 'em ;-)
  10. @infantjesus887 don't panic. That means your docs are received and you are queued for assessment. It takes a month for them to finish it though. Advance congrats!
  11. @johnnnius to warn you though, the trusts will implement a no DL, no CoS policy in the near future so I hope you get yours soon. You know how the trends are these days. All crazy to me. You don't have to be anxious re if your assessment has started, I only received one email update from NMC and that is I can proceed to the next step of the application process. Just chill and I know your time will come ;-)
  12. @johnnius, I have a friend from Addenbrookes who's flying to London on the 30th. He'll wait for his DL there.
  13. @cloudstrife I asked my referees to write the hospital's ph number followed by their mobile number. You are welcome ^_^
  14. @cloudstrife any doctor except anesth can sign even if he's still a resident. Yes, the street name is the hospital he is affiliated with. The email ads were those of individual referees and that of the doctor.
  15. @lg_loveliegrace, sure I'll keep you posted. NMC sent me an email that I can pay for the OSCE as to have a sched but I still have to email the hospital for I know the cost of the exam will be deducted in our salary. @johnnnius, sent my docs last april 17, got the DL just yesterday. Well, I received an email may 9 from nmc telling me that 3 of my docs (ToR, Reference letters and Declaration of Good Health) were not received yet so I called them and they advised me to call back after 10 days for they receive an overwhelming number of applications a day. I made a follow up after 10 days and they said I am already on the assessment queue. This will be a real test of patience, just hang on and keep that positive attitude ^_^
