You're given 4 hours to complete 120 questions so make sure you give each item complete focus until you're sure about your answer. Always remember the 6Cs. hi guys! went to my school today and got my TOR. its supposed to have my photo but they said there's something wrong with the system. is it okay to submit my TOR without the photo? also, our nursing department did not use a black pen to fill out the form. they used a typewriter. should i go back to have it changed? tia!

My transcript has no photo and it was accepted just fine. If there is a conspicuous square where a photo should be attached in your ToR then just attach a photo there. Typewritten is acceptable. My transcript of training form was typewritten by our registrar (and then dirtied with errors and correction fluid).By the way, NMC just emailed me last night and my old scheme papers are officially transferred now. \o/

did the form state that it should be written in BLOCK LETTERS using a BLACK PEN? i got worried coz that's what's on the form and my school did not follow instructions.

@thesportyscribeIt does say that indeed, and I had a good argument about it with our registrar too, but she said she's done it before and nobody's been rejected because of it yet. Is "black pen" really written and not "black ink"? I forget.

my school has also done the same...they've used typewriter instead and when i submitted to my agency.they didn't asked me to change. So i think it will be okay.

Also regarding Obstetrics and Paediatrics question, were they just the general ones? I am using Royal Marsden book to prepare for this exam and there is nothing about OB and Paeds in the book.

Hello everyone, I passed!!!! Thank you very much for the tips. I only studied for a few hours yesterday and like most of you said, the questions are centred on,

1. Public Safety

2. Patient centricity

3. Safeguarding and Public safety

4. Early Warning Signs / Track and trigger systems

5. Informed Consents

6. Infection control

and basic Pharmacology, Medical and Surgical Nursing.

Read the NMC Code and make sure to apply it in any question. Also read the NICE guidelines regarding some of the issues highlighted above. Always remember to put patient's care and well being, including family members and carers first in all situations. Goodluck!

I am looking forward to gaining some tips as per OSCE on this thread. You guys rock!

@mich567715 what's your agency? :) did you apply in the old scheme or the new one? my school also said that they have done so many times. then again, the instruction on the form is clear that a black pen has to be used.

Hi... I am with ASC under new scheme..i saw that instructions and I even reminded them before.but they told me they are using typewriter to fill up those forms eversince. So i just trusted them and I was told we have schoolmates also left for UK last year..and they did the same thing

@Mich567715 If ASC said that it's fine, then I don't think I need to have it changed. I was just concerned that perhaps the USE BLACK PEN rule was not mentioned in the old scheme. I just went through the forms that my school gave me, and I found out that the number of hours reflected on the Forms to Accompany Transcript of Training is not the same with the number of hours in my separate Theoretical Breakdown form. How about in your forms? Are the two values the same?
