Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
@thesportyscribe
Yes indeed! They sent my documents directly to NMC via FedEx, I paid Php2,600.00 for that. It's costly but it does not matter as long as the docs will arrive there safely. I asked my school before if I can send the forms myself because I thought they'll just send it by regular post, however, they refused because they said it's the NMC's policy that the school should sent it directly to NMC. And they explained that they'll send it through FedEx so I don't need to worry.
lg_loveliegrace, i am planning to send all three docs (school docs, declaration of good health, and reference letters) in one package. coz they say it's ok. i know i am being too frugal, and i really hope it's ok with nmc if the school docs will be sent with the others.
has anyone done the same (sending the 3 docs in one package? except for those whoare under asc since their agency will send it for them. i think those under greenfields send docs on their own.
@PinoyRN12Thanks! OMG! That slow? They work like a snail
Unfortunately, I know a few who have studied in the UK and yet they do have struggles in obtaining their PIN number.
I know. They do have inconsistencies we have to deal with. Anyway good thing is I'm just waiting for the authorisation to take the Osce now.

Good for you! Yes, all we can do now is hope and pray because my parents and sister who is in the UK have told me that the re-elected Prime Minister David Cameron is planning to stop the hiring of foreign nurses and plans to just hire those RNs in the European Union. He is known to be anti-foreigners and wants to save all jobs for the Brits and their brothers from the EU.
@thesportyscribe
I am not sure about that, although it's a good way of saving money but I decided to just follow what's indicated on the form that the school and PRC should send it directly to NMC. With regard to the reference and health declaration form, I sent it together but I placed it on separate envelopes.

Apparently, they still need us.

It doesn't matter where you live (UK or overseas) the process will take a long time as the NMC will be inundated with applications and they will not employ a lot of people to look after them. Process for Canada believe me will take a lot longer with some provinces, think of up to 2 years.

Managing the NHS is a big thing in the UK so if the demand is there and can not be filed he can not stop employment.
Also talk of a referendum and lots of people want out of the EU.
I would however say he is right in that UK citizens and permanent residence should come first as like any country you should look after your own people before others
Hi..I'm a nurse from Ghana. I hold BSc in Nursing from one of the public universities. I am currently a tutor, though, I was a bedside nurse for 12 months. With just 12 months of acute experience, can I apply for NMC license?Thank you.
Technically yes since they only require 1 year clinical experience for your to become eligible.

Nobody can blame you for being pragmatic and wanting to save. I would have actually sent in all the documents from the then pack 2 of the old scheme (good health, PRC, transcript, and employment forms) all at once if I had that choice.
@lg_loveliegrace
That is unfortunate. I guess it really is a per-school basis. My college actually insisted I mail the forms to NMC personally so I could personally make sure they get delivered. At least your school sent it via courier so there's that.
