I haven't been on in a while...are you getting excited? I hope they are pampering you at work!
Thanks for asking!
I actually had to start my maternity leave last week.
My blood pressure is starting to spike up so both my OB and nephrologist told me to stop working. I am not on bedrest or anything - it's just that if I'm not working, I can rest a lot more and put my feet up whenever I want, plus there is no work stress or driving to deal with. Pressure has been stable since then, albiet on the higher side. I have my last ultrasound tomorrow and hopefully the placenta is still looking good...
Because of the BP and the fact that the baby is in the 60th + percentile for size...my OB is inducing me on Wednesday!!! I'll be 37-1/2 to 38-1/2 weeks, depending on which dates you go by (my LMP or early ultrasounds).
It will be a relief though, to have the baby on the outside instead. Everyone says it's harder then, of course, but I feel so helpless right now. I know how to take care of a baby, even a very sick one - but a fetus, I cannot really help much!
Plus I have carpal tunnel in both hands from the excess fluid. Right now I'm typing but my fingers are all completely asleep, it feels like! Pins and needles everywhere....
