I haven't been on in a while...are you getting excited? I hope they are pampering you at work!

Thanks for asking!
I actually had to start my maternity leave last week. My blood pressure is starting to spike up so both my OB and nephrologist told me to stop working. I am not on bedrest or anything - it's just that if I'm not working, I can rest a lot more and put my feet up whenever I want, plus there is no work stress or driving to deal with. Pressure has been stable since then, albiet on the higher side. I have my last ultrasound tomorrow and hopefully the placenta is still looking good...
Because of the BP and the fact that the baby is in the 60th + percentile for size...my OB is inducing me on Wednesday!!! I'll be 37-1/2 to 38-1/2 weeks, depending on which dates you go by (my LMP or early ultrasounds).
Getting nervous!!!
It will be a relief though, to have the baby on the outside instead. Everyone says it's harder then, of course, but I feel so helpless right now. I know how to take care of a baby, even a very sick one - but a fetus, I cannot really help much!
Plus I have carpal tunnel in both hands from the excess fluid. Right now I'm typing but my fingers are all completely asleep, it feels like! Pins and needles everywhere....
Oh man, I remember having carpal tunnel terribly when I was pregnant...there were nights that I had to sit up in the recliner with my arms straight out to sleep!
Wednesday...oh girl, that isn't too far off! I hope your BP stays stable and you get some much needed rest before the big day! I'll keep you in my prayers until then!!!

Ohhhh....a newbie in your house at Christmastime! How adorable is that! I think that'd be the ultimate wonderfully timed present of all for moms....
Good luck and hope you're taking care of yourself. Sounds like it. Great that you're out of work even though it's due to (managed) problems.
Have a safe and speedy delivery/recovery!
