New to School Nursing!- Advice??

Hi everyone,

I accepted a school nurse position at an elementary school near me starting next school year. I am currently in patient Peds at a children's hospital and decided I needed the change for a better work/home balance with the kids. Definitely excited but nervous about this change. I have read through the site and you guys are so helpful and hilarious!!! Just wanted to say Hi!!!

Hi, and welcome tcc84. This forum has saved my sanity more times than I can count. Come here, ask questions, NO question is lame or dumb.

In nursing school, I had one of my instructors tell me, "Until today I thought there was no such thing as a dumb question, but you have proven that to be wrong."

I don't remember, but it was in psych and the instructor made no bones about not wanting men in nursing. Unfortunately for her there were two of "US" in the same class;eeeeewwwww!!
