New Mexico Licensure Question

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

when you go to the testing site wear something warm and comfortable but not something you will get too warm in, you need 1 or 2 forms of ID one of which should be your passport ( I took 2 forms of picture ID the other my UK license as it has a picture) they may only look at one but better to take 2 forms of ID. You also need to make sure you take your ATT. You can not take anything into the room so take only what you need as it will go into a locker

i already emailed nm bon loads of times but they havent replied yet. its been over a month already..

anyone know who will i email directly with this problem?

and btw is there a time limit in endorsing from one state to another?

i would like to endorse to california but since this problem occurs i havent done anything yet. -.-"

Have you checked if the your name is also misspelled in their database? I mean when you do license verification thru their website, is your name incorrectly spelled out as well? It could be that the error was committed only when printing your license card. If that is the case, you will have no problem with the endorsement as license verification of NM RN can be made thru NURSYS and your license card is not used for reliable verification.

I don't know the NM BON staff who handles such concern. However, in matters relating to endorsement, it is Emily Gurule who helped me when I endorsed my license from NMBON to IDFPR (IL BON).

You can endorse a license as long as it is active or valid.

Hi.. thanks for the quick reply... Though i hope they would just need one form of ID, cause all i have is my Passport and my temporary drivers license(do you think this would be enough?)... btw, I will print out my Att when it arrives?

When I tested in HK last February, the Pearson staff just asked for my passport and ATT. There was no need for any other ID, though I brought with me my driver's license just to be sure.

:welcome: hi there. im a fresh grad from philppines and im planning to apply for nclex in new mexico. i would like to know :

1. how to apply for fingerprint. do i just have to mail them. i already mailed them but they dont have any repsonse yet.

2. if given the chnace, i passed the nclex in new mexico and i plan to transfer my license, can i easily transfer it even without working in new mexico for, say example, 1 year?

CA BON requires SSN for license issuance, be it through exam or endorsement(with license but without SSN). By saying that you'd be working in CA(legally), I'd assume that you'll have SSN by that time because you cannot work legally in the USA as an RN without the SSN.
