New Mexico Licensure Question

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

ei bynelle. nm bon dont send finger print cards. and if i were you just get it in the us embassy. NBI dont accept downloaded fingerprint forms. and just follow the application form requirements. RLE is usually included with the transcript just to be sure. but highschool grades and diplomas are not required in NM but in some other states they do. you might want to backtrack a lil in this thread and youll get lots a info. ^^

bynelle, when I sent them my application before, I did not include my high school grades and nursing diploma. The FP card on the other hand needs to be obtained from the US Embassy. As for your nursing transcripts they should also have an rle form attached to it. And it should come from your school directly. Also, you should wait for a note from the New Mexico Board of Nursing stating that your documents are complete and you can already register with Pearson Vue before doing so. Good luck!

hi. i'm new here. i just passed the december board exams.

i've read the entire thread from the beginning to the end. hehe. it was very informative. i've learned that there are changes... like they won't evaluate the transcript without your application and fees and i can wait for the bon to tell me i'm eligible before registering at pearson. did i get it right?

anyway, is it still ok to use the downloaded fingerprint card? i've emailed nm bon but i think it will take weeks before it will arrive. i'm going to get my transcript next week and don't want my application to be delayed by it.

do i have to enclose my diploma in my application? some are saying that i need my highschool grade and my rn diploma. i know that it is not stated in the application form. but then, rle is not stated, too but i've read from the previous posts that you should include it.

is it still ok to mail my application with my friends? we will place our applications in separate envelopes but we'll mail it at the same time in one envelope? is it ok if we do that, too with our transcripts?

hi caringnursenj and ric13. tnx for your help. my problem is i live in baguio. it would be costly to go to the embassy. i bought vellum cartolina and printed the downloaded fingerprint card from fbi, then i cut the line which says it's downloaded. i followed what the previous post said. it looks like the original one which i've seen from my schoolmate. do you think it would work? they just scan it anyway, isn't it? tnx

hi everyone! i already got my eligibility last feb 28, i submitted my application dec. 19. hopefully, you can get yours too in a few days.

why dont you try saipan? and korea? or taiwan? is it hard to get acommodations from these countries?

How many days did it take for you to get ATT after you have registered for PUE?

I have the same question as the previous post. I paid Pearson Vue on March 1 (Thu), same day I got the email confirming my elig. According to Pearson, they need 24 hrs to link my account/payment with the BON. Up to now, my account still says, 'eligibility pending'. How long will it take them to verify it with NM BON? Do I email NM BON &/or Pearson? Thanks for your time and insight..:confused:

Depends on the state, some do it right away, and some can take up to two weeks to send the information to Pearson-Vue. Give it sometime before following up with them.

best way to check is on the state BON, there will be the info you need on current requirements

It happened to me too before, marilag16. I was advised to register and pay, but the ATT didn't come right away. You can call up Pearson Vue's number to find out---which I did and I was told that they have not received word from the BON yet. But exactly three weeks later from the day I registered, my heart almost jumped when I saw my ATT in my inbox. So good luck!

That long? Hmmm.. I guess it must be a blessing in disguise as slots in Hong Kong are too far gone already. I plan to try my luck by calling them up for earlier available dates as advised here by many. Ei, caringnursenj, thanks so much! Also, thanks Suzanne. Appreciate it..
