hi. i just want to share my experience. i emailed the bon of nm requesting for fingerprint cards on feb. 26. they mailed it on feb. 27 and i received it after 1 week. the nm bon still sends fingerprint cards. just email them at [email protected]

I got my ATT yesterday, March 10 . Unfortunately, Hong Kong is not available within my validity dates so I had to get a slot in Taipei.

I've never been there so it's gonna be exciting ! And taking the NCLEX on top of that;) ! Anyone who has experienced taking NCLEX there or has travelled there recently, I'd appreciate any feedback with regards to visa requirements and processing, safe & cheap hotels/hostels, transpo, etc. Thanks so much..

Envelope 1.) school credentials like TOR AND RLE from the school

Envelope 2.) - 2 page application

- 2 checks, (1) for New Mexico BON ($160) and (2) New Mexico department of public safety ($31)

- EXAMINATION PAYMENT FORM

- 2 fingerprint cards

- FINGERPRINT CERTIFICATE FORM

- notarized NATIONWIDE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK

If school would allow me to choose the courier service (DHL / FedEx etc.) and hand over the package of TOR & RLE with the student.

Can i send the 2 envelope in one package at the same time so they dont have to track back and to avoid confusion?

The TOR and RLE documents must come from your school. If you include your application form with it, won't they misconstrue it as you were the one who actually sent it and not the school? Also, the BON has an effective way of sorting out documents to where it should belong---just be sure that your name in that document exactly matches all the other documents that you have already sent them. Just my thoughts.....Good luck!

Thanks, thats good news they now have an effective way of sorting out documents, because I read from this thread that normally the nursing school sends the TOR and RLE, then I will be sending my application docs on a later date after they've received my transcripts.

My application was received by NM BON on Dec 4. My school requirements were received by same on Nov 29. I just got my elig today.
A month ago, Ms. Vidaurri emailed me & told me that she was working on Nov & Dec applications. A week ago, she informed me that she is currently working on a 4-month backlog.
I guess, everybody joined in the bandwagon.. :)

They received my application last nov 28 and my school docu nov 24,How come that they still not informing of the status, your appli is fast.I hope I can have an eligibility. I tried to contact but no luck.Thanks.

hi mushu,

i suggest you email ms. vidaurri ([email protected]) to follow up your application. give her the facts of your submittal (e.g., when you submitted your application and fees, your credentials, etc.) so she can readily trace your case.

thank you bebe13, she emailed me today and told me that i can now register to pearson and my file is complete.is it ok to register even if you don't have the hard copy of eligibility?thanx for your reply.

hi ric13! wen did u apply for NM? how long did u wait for ms. sabrina to reply? i sent my application last feb 22. thru express mail. post office said it will take 4-5days before it gets to NM. then i mailed my TOR and RLE the next day. only as registered mail. they said it will take 14days. is it ok to self review? im a newly wed and a mom to a 4month old baby girl.my mother in law insists that i just self review. im also a june2006 board passer. my husband is an american citizen and we're working on my petition. but as you heard on the news, all of us who passed the june board must retake the whole tests if we want to work abroad. so im planning to retake also in case my husband's petition for me will take long. im also worried maybe it will conflict with the local board exams this coming june.

do you mean that we can hold our registration to PV for a while if we plan to take the NCLEX on a later date?

please help me. im so overwhelmed right now with my situation. the petition, the local board, the nclex and review.

mushu, yes, the go signal of ms. vidaurri is enough. you don't need an eligibility letter. i for one did not receive such letter but received my att minutes after registering to pearson.

hi masey, i can see that you really have a lot on your hands today. i would just like to remind you that you don't have to bear them all. "cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (1 peter 5:7)... surely they'll be lighter. :smilecoffeecup:

to share my experience related to your questions, i did self-review for the nclex, that i took only last month. i followed suzanne's study guide and i passed it at first take with 75 questions, of course, by the grace of god. just be sure to devote enough hours for your study.

as to your concern with your nle and nclex getting in conflict, you may delay your registration to pearson until you think you are ready for your nclex. besides, nm bon has gotten busy lately and their issuance of eligibility is taking longer than before. in my case, i had my eligibility after a month that nm bon received my application and fees (sometime october last year). like you, i'm also caught in the june 2006 controversy. it's really very frustrating when you think of it but then there are reasons for all of this. we just have to move. i'll be taking the whole exam again, to play safe with ana's statement.
