New Mexico Licensure Question

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

If you provided an e-mail address in your application form, your ATT will be given via e-mail. And then your actual license will be sent via airmail, you don't usually pick it up in their office. But you could try calling before going though if you really want to visit their office. And like what was earlier stated here, there's no fast way to endorse your license to NY because the NY BON requires a CVS. Also, they require that you complete a course in infection control and handling child abuse cases---which incidentally can be taken on-line. The providers of these courses are listed at the NY BON's website.

Does the att given by new mex in a letter form or e-mail? And what if i took the exam there in the U.S. Can i just get my license directly from their office? Just in case...

i have sent my application December 19, 2006 but up to now there is still no news from them. I tried to email them already but still no response.

is there anyone in this group who sent their application after dec. 19 and already got the eligibility? thanx.

im really kinda stressed out now. please help me and pray with me that hopefully my papers does not have a problem.

i sent my dec 16 and i got my eligibility jan 25.

you sure your application is complete? transcripts are there? so as the application forms? no problems in the payments? the fingerprint cards? it can cause delay if theres problems.

just keep on emailing Ms. Vidaurri. maybe shes just busy or something.

here is the registration process taken from the nclex examination candidate bulletin:

1. submit an application for licensure to the board of nursing where you wish to be licensed.

2. meet all of the board of nursing's eligibility requirements to take the nclex examination.

3. register for the nclex examination with pearson vue

4. receive confirmation of registration from pearson vue

5. the board of nursing makes the candidate eligible to take the nclex

6. receive authorization to test (att) from pearson vue

have you done no. 3 since they will be the ones who will give you your att as stated in no. 6?

Hi lilove and Ric13, my friends and I had submitted our application documents last nov. 28

Our school credentials were received by the NM BON 3 weeks earlier, but up to now we still have no information about our application.. We have emailed Ms. Sabrina Vidaurri several times ( but no reply received from her) and tried calling her up, but only a recorded message answers with directions to just email Ms. Vidaurri....

It's really frustrating.... On their procedure-instructions, it says that if after 60 days, there is no information on the status of the application, we should call or email Ms. Vidaurri....But how can I when they do not answer nor reply via telephone or emails. It has been 89 days now and still no information on the status of our applications --- should there be some missing or lacking documents which need to be submitted, they should inform the applicant.....so frustrating, indeed!!!

it would be much faster if you register with pearson already since you can receive your att immediately and schedule your nclex once the NM BON clears you. anyway, the registration is good for one year and im pretty certain the evaluation process by NM BON wont take that long even if there were delays or there are missing information.

now this got me worried. it seems it takes much longer nowadays for NM BON to process foreign applicants. sent my application jan. 22 but my transcripts were sent by my school a month earlier. i also have not received my att from pearson ( i've registered with pearson already) but my application is only a month old. haven't emailed them yet anyway since the non-us forms clearly stated to wait at least 45 days before any inquiries will be entertained.

hi. i'm new here. i just passed the december board exams.

i've read the entire thread from the beginning to the end. hehe. it was very informative. i've learned that there are changes... like they won't evaluate the transcript without your application and fees and i can wait for the bon to tell me i'm eligible before registering at pearson. did i get it right?

anyway, is it still ok to use the downloaded fingerprint card? i've emailed nm bon but i think it will take weeks before it will arrive. i'm going to get my transcript next week and don't want my application to be delayed by it.

do i have to enclose my diploma in my application? some are saying that i need my highschool grade and my rn diploma. i know that it is not stated in the application form. but then, rle is not stated, too but i've read from the previous posts that you should include it.

is it still ok to mail my application with my friends? we will place our applications in separate envelopes but we'll mail it at the same time in one envelope? is it ok if we do that, too with our transcripts?

Never submit payment to Pearson-Vue until you know that your credentials have been accepted. Note the #2 step that you have above.

The BON will actually make the candidate available for the exam once they have approved them. The above is actually for American trained nurses. For those from out of the country, you need to make sure that your file is accepted and approved. Or you will throwing out good money if you need to make up something. PV only keeps a file open for so long.

The ATT requires payment to PV, as well as approval from the BON.

My application was received by NM BON on Dec 4. My school requirements were received by same on Nov 29. I just got my elig today.

A month ago, Ms. Vidaurri emailed me & told me that she was working on Nov & Dec applications. A week ago, she informed me that she is currently working on a 4-month backlog.

I guess, everybody joined in the bandwagon.. :)
