Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!
sorry, but that is totally wrong. you must submit an original fingerprint card, not one printed from online. it specifically says: "obtain proof of identity, which consists of a set of your fingerprints (original card, no copies), with your name, date of birth and place of birth. fingerprints should be placed on a standard fingerprint form (fd-258) commonly used for applicant or law enforcement purposes"
When you do follow up the status of your application or evaluation of your credentials include the date it was mailed and the date it was received by the BON. No need to call them, they usually respond promptly through email. You will be wasting time and money talking to a machine. Don't send multiple emails in a single day or in a a span of one week. Give them a break, guys. Your papers are not the only thing they're processing. If they do not respond this week, try again the next week. It's like getting a spam mail. And isn't irritating to see multiple mails with the same topic over and over again?
Help!!! i have been sending Sabrina an email thrice already to follow up my application but i keep on receiving a sending failure notification. wjat is happening? did she change her email add? does anyone know?
Guys, What will I write in the part of the application asking for the primary residence? Is it New Mexico since I'm taking my initial licensure there? Thanks
no, not new mexico. it should be philippines. "primary residence" means just that -- literally -- and not based on where your taking your initial licensure. good luck!
do i have to email nmbon a couple of ties b4 receiving the sent application? i emailed 2x weeks ago but still didn't receive it, on the other hand some friends of mine said they emailed until they got a response from bon, and now they received theirs.
also what does this implicate?
declaration of primary state of residence is mandatory for licensure
in accordance with the nursing practice act 61-3-24-1 (nurse licensure compact), i declare that the state of

purposes. ("primary state of residence" is defined as the state of a person's declared fixed permanent and principal home for legal

does this mean that when you go there, this is your point of entry and you must abide by the laws and work there 1st befor you can go to another state? or must you hire a lawyer to help you with the transferring to another state to work?
tnx

new mexico is never a point of entry if you are coming from se asia, no flights go non-stop there. your point of entry will more than likely be either san francisco or los angeles.
if you are not in the us currently, then you do not have a legal residence in the us, therefore you do not qualify for the compact state license and that is what is being asked. you will get a license that is good for nm only.
you do not need a lawyer for endorsement, you cannot transfer a license, you must endorse it to the new state.
and you never need to put a foot in the state of initisal licensure.

i highly recommend that you do some more reading before submitting anything. you will be creating more issues that you will need to deal with, and do not even have any idea about.

the advice given by NM BON to somebody who asked the same question in the past and who was not a US resident is to leave that portion blank.

huh? now, this confuses me...because when i asked the the personnel-in-charge on foreign exam (yes, i was able to talk to her personally back then -- around may or june 2006; no machines yet...), she told me to put "Philippines" there...and so..."huh...? which is which...?"

are you a permanent resident already or will be one really soon? hate to break it to you but an lpn is not entitled for any visa via employment-based petitions.
you may refer to the discussion in this thread: https://allnurses.com/forums/f235/immigration-attorney-179829.html
also, to suzanne's "primer" on top.
