  1. Yes I did tell them that I was a June 2006 passer. And I included a letter with my application with their corresponding reply.
  2. just try. you'll never know until you try. look at me, i made it!
  3. Goodnews June 2006 batch. ---- Your VisaScreen certificate will be issued within the next few business days. --- so if i were you I would go ahead and apply now while it's still retrogression.
  4. Hi fellow batchmates!! It's been a while since i posted here. Anyway to share the goodnews to all. Don't fret, we beat them, didn't we. Below is a news from cgfns about my visascreen application. -------------- Thank you for your inquiry. Your IELTS results have been received and accepted. Your VisaScreen certificate will be issued within the next few business days. ------------- By the way, I applied last October 2006. Yup I am a board passer. Feel free to post here for questions. ------ for curiousity's sake, I did not register for the PRC license. But that doesn't make any difference, coz I am still one of the june 2006 batch. What I did was I emailed them of my situation, printed a copy of their response and included that with my application. CGFNS said that since I do not have a license, then there's no need to send any license verification from PRC. --------- for those with their license, well i hope that it will be approved as well. I think so, coz they have been approving application for ces and cvs from our batch.
  5. Thanks Kiko, that's the clearest explanation I have read so far. Thanks a bunch!
  6. If one still uses her maiden name, and indicated that she's married, wouldn't that pose a problem? Will she not be asked why she hasn't change her last name when she had indicated a change of status/that she's married? On immigration for example, will you not be asked why you still use your maiden name when in fact you're married. Are you not supposed to use your husband's last name? I'm sorry, I'm quite confused.
  7. how about if you filed for AOS before 60 days of stay? Still safe? how about you, did you file after 60 days or after 90 days? does it matter?
  8. important notice for individual exam applicants: fingerprint cards are available online for you to print out. the website is www.fbi.gov and click on more services then click on fbi identification record then scroll down the page to #2 click on standard fingerprint form. remember to print out 2 for submittal with application and forms, #1-#3. include the $ 31.00 money order made payable to the nm dept. of public safety
  9. Thanks for replying!! Yes I passed Nclex and have a license to practice in NM. I heard that NM is hiring nurses, even new grad. I have relatives in other states, but I don't want to go through endorsement as of the moment. I've read the international forum and with the retrogression looming in I don't think I will be able to work yet. I also don't want to go through agencies, I would rather try my luck applying directly. Maybe they would consider AOS when the retrogression is lifted? Well, I hope they will. I've read most of the members rejects lovelace, and there's issue with UNM and presbyterian. What then would be the best hospital for a beginner like me? And also the city, is albuquerque a good place to start with? Thanks.
  10. If the pay is low, then the COS in new mexico must be low too. Is it? Are there lots of Filipinos in new mexico? I wanted to try working there since I have my NM license already.
  11. what's the best hospital for a new grad to work with? And anybody knows the basic pay for someone who will just be starting her career as an RN? Does having a second degree a plus factor for salary increase? Thanks. I hope someone here from New Mexico replies.
  12. When you do follow up the status of your application or evaluation of your credentials include the date it was mailed and the date it was received by the BON. No need to call them, they usually respond promptly through email. You will be wasting time and money talking to a machine. Don't send multiple emails in a single day or in a a span of one week. Give them a break, guys. Your papers are not the only thing they're processing. If they do not respond this week, try again the next week. It's like getting a spam mail. And isn't irritating to see multiple mails with the same topic over and over again?
  13. I wish I could celebrate. But no, not yet. Not until this scandal about NLE is over. And NCLEX is only the beginning of many things yet to be accomplished. There's IELTS, visascreen, job hnting, interviews, immigration, relocating, etc etc etc.. One at a time..
  14. No retake for those who got the leakage? That's stupid! Not everyone who got hold of the so-called "leakage" knew that the "reviewer" they've got is the exact question until after the test. Test questions from previous exams are everywhere, even in National Bookstore! Isn't that a leakage as well? I think it is. How else will they (the publisher) get hold of it if not through the testmakers themselves. And they dare made us attest not to share the questions after the test, and yet it's everywhere. Let's face it, students shared reviewer from other students from different review center not knowing this fact. The one that should be punished is the one who gave the leakage and not the students. As the saying goes, Jail the PUSHER, save the USER (for Drugs). But it can also be applied here. The truth... our economy sucks..Big time.
