New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi everyone!

May I know what does HPH stands for? I want to inquire about this bp provider.

Tnx for your reply.. would greatly appreciate your help.

depends on the school and program of your choice.

but you cant be assessed by AHPRA w/o the at least 3 months experience.

I was also having a hard time navigating their website last night, the form for undergrad and postgrad seems to be exactly the same. I also tried registering in their ISIS something online application but I could not figure as well on how to start the application. Anyway I tried emailing them, still waiting for their response though.

i think i already know why. La Trobe has yet to confirm the IRON program.

Specializes in ER.

Hi guys! do you recommend bridging programs through consultancy firm here in the philippines?

Hi guys! do you recommend bridging programs through consultancy firm here in the philippines?

Consultancy firms do not have your best interest in mind. All they want from you is your money. They will tell you what you want to hear. They will tell you you don't need to have IELTS to go here. They will tell you there are other ways of being an RN in Australia like doing an EN course. Cut out the middle man. You don't need them.

You are smart enough to find this website. Use it. It's free. All the info are from those who are already here and from those who are planning to go here like yourself. Have the patience to read the threads. If they don't apply to you, it's free to ask. There will be somebody who might be able to help...and pay it forward...

hi xekie! may i ask you what does HPH stands for?

Tnx a lot.

For those asking what HPH is, it is hollywood private hospital

thank you very much hot rod 3484! =)

They used to do that at least here in Adelaide when there was a shortage but now there is a surplus so it's highly unlikely. What you can do and you have probably done it already is to collect a list of hospitals and nursing homes with their addresses in and around the area you'll be living. And of course network, network, network.

network, network, network?

What do you mean by this? Can you kindly elaborate about this? Thanks.
