Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
I read that in this forum ms. dudzy used the visa business short stay 456 for her BP at ETEA. i'm also taking the same course so i downloaded the application form and since it's a business visa it's asking my occupation and current employment. can i still use this visa if i'm no longer employed?
For ArmiRN or blinq:
Just for confirmation: How much is the course fee for the bridging program at Curtin, since you will just be taking it for 1 semester? Is it AUD 11,500, half of the indicative price at the Curtin website?
I understand that the intake for international applicants is only during the 1st semester? Does it mean February only?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there silvermed, :wink2:
Curtin's tuition fee for the year 2010 has increased to $11,690au for 1 semester, inclusive of OSHC, too pricey but I was left with no choice:cry:
With regard to the acceptance of international students, hmmm? I don't think the uni has limitations re overseas applicants admission. Curtin offers the conversion program for 2 semesters, February and July respectively. If the student fails to attend the 1st semester then he can always defer his commencement of studies to the next available intake.
Should there be any further queries, I'd be glad to be of help:wink2:
Hi ArmiRn and Blinq and others who have any idea, I have a few questions naman... In what form did you send your documents to NBV: were they stapled? placed in a folder? did you use paper clips? How did you collate them? Some assessing bodies kasi are strict even with the way you collate your documents. Hope you can help me as I am sending my application within the week.
thanks in advance, guys!

Hi drednag,
Hmmm..I didn't do anything special when I submitted my documents to the Nurses Board of WA. I only kept all the requirements in order and stapled documents like TOR, Summary of RLE (those w/ more than 1 page content).
Just meet the documents required by the board of nursing (certified and original copies required), and you'll be fine;)
I wish you luck drednag!
Keep your hopes high and continually pray for guidance, Ajah!
