New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand
Found many helpful tips on this forum, thank you to all those who patiently answer queries. My question is for those who are gonna be taking BP in Victoria: > are there uniforms for the clinical placement? (best to buy clothes and shoes in the phil.) > am i required to bring my own bp apparatus, stethoscope, etc? > what documents should i bring with me to australia? (should i bring my diploma and/or board certificate?) > are they strict with vaccinations? (i do have complete vaccinations as a child but i have no hepA vaccine, i could take the first dose here but 2nd dose must not be earlier than six months and my course starts in april 2010, is it ok if i complete the rest in australia, or will clinical agents tell me to complete everything before the clinical placement) Thank you and God Bless everyone

I read that in this forum ms. dudzy used the visa business short stay 456 for her BP at ETEA. i'm also taking the same course so i downloaded the application form and since it's a business visa it's asking my occupation and current employment. can i still use this visa if i'm no longer employed?

Farah_24 Thanks i'm now a bit more confident for the interview, i'll be submitting the requirements to ramsay health today via email. how long will it take before they notify me of the phone interview? aside from the personal question and clinical scenario, do they also ask about drugs/pharmacology, or health ethic laws, legalities, psychiatric? or they just more on Med/surg? i really appreciate your help thanks

thanks ramiboy for pointing me to the right direction! *blows of the dust in med/surg textbook* now I could get started on what possible questions they might give. this is really helpful, please keep posting more questions. thanks regarding the permanent residency is it a requirement in ramsay? Have you also enquired in mercy health training institute and st. vincent's private hospital? unlike ramsay they don't have details online. i might meet my future classmates here. yay! I remember being in melbourne during autumn winter 2006, five seconds in the parking lot and my knees started shaking, that never happened before considering i have strong tolerance for the cold, then i got home and heard it was 3 degrees celsius on those wee hours. so remember to pack in those thermal underwear and save those mini skirts for warmer season or if you can't wait (like me) in the afternoon is fine where there is sunshine.

Wow! just found this thread and just read the last 15 pages, This is really enlightening and helpful. I just recieved my approval letter from NBV and i'm going to apply to Ramsay Health Care. Can I still make it for November 2009? Do i have to be a permanent resident to apply to ramsay? I'm still in the philippines so how will they schedule the phone interview? What are they asking on the interview about clinical scenario? Please give some examples? Thank you in advance
