Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
guys, is anyone familiar with this website- http://www.nurses2australia.net/ourservices.php ?
Any thoughts on their services? How about anyone who availed of their services?
Thank you so much
i see. thank you so much sofia*26.as much as i would like to declare my experience, problem is, the hospital where i work for would not release our registration details in this foreign country. so sad. huhuhu
anyway, thank you so much
... so sorry to hear that why not try other parts of Australia who doesn't require experience like Queensland? I've read from this thread that they accept applicants even without experience.. cheer up! God has good plans for all of us and He's just probably waiting for the perfect time to come... God Bless! :paw:
i just got my ielts results today 9. 8. 7. and 6.0...total band score is 7.5 ....is there any state accepting a 6.0 in writing? well, i plan to retake IELTS in june..i think i was deducted points in writing because it didn't reach 250 words, i ran out of time...
i know i have to get all 7s.... frustrating...but i gotta work this out and probly just retake. but i was just curious if there's any state that accepts 6.0 in writing....
my girlfriend got 6.5 in writing too while all the other 3 were 9 , 8 and 8... she didn't reach 250 words also in the writing part.

Hi chabeli, I and my friend took the ielts also in March 21 and got excellent scores too except for the writing subcategory which we got 6.5. I decided to retake the exam the soonest and luckily passed, just got my result yesterday :loveya: I advise that you retake your IELTS exam as soon as possible while still fresh For Australia, all states I guess require speaking and writing to be at least 7 (for nurses), while some state require all subcategory to be 7. Cheer up, you can make it..

You and your friend would need to repeat the exam The minimum for all states is 7.0 in writing and speaking.. Currently, some states are requiring flat 7.0 for all parts while some still accept 6.5 in Listening and Reading.
Also, just as an added information for everyone, ANMC is now requiring a flat 7.0 for all band in IELTS for a positive assessment - this is for migration purposes.

Thanks, aelith! yup i will be retaking the Test on June 27. I just gotta move on and focus on what to do next :)
by the way, do you have any idea how much show money i should have if i bring my partner with me ( i will declare her as de facto) i am planning to apply for student visa since my course is roughly a week more than 3 months (ETEA).
The reason is because she can come in and out of Oz for the duration of my studies and she will be visiting me a couple of times or maybe just stay with me for the duration of the course.

If it is under a de facto relationship, they might ask for some proof of at least 12 months cohabitation. I am not so sure on this part but I will try to check on this. I'll update you with whatever I can get. If, ever, she will then be considered as your spouse and would have to add extra money for her - you can see the additional funds required in DIAC's website under student visa financial requirement.
