Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!

Mallz- just make a whole bunch of random posts either on this blog, or others to make the 15 posts. That's what I did. And NELRP help did too!;)

I am still awaiting my letter as well. I wish could respond to messages and PM but I can't. No till 15 posts are made.

I got my letter today!! Yipppeee!!! So excited!! Thanks again NELRP Help!! You are a truly wonderful person, and you gave my family and I hope again!! Boy, they weren't lying last year about the taxes! but I will take it! I absolutely plan on taking the payments I was making towards my loans and posting them to my other debts for the next 2-3 years! So then when I do start having to repay my loans, it will be a lot easier for me! So NELRP Help, for the amendment year, you have to apply like 6 months prior to your contract ending, is that right?? Because I am definitely going to do that!

For those of you who are still waiting, good luck!! I wish we all could get this award! This means the world to me and my 4-year old and 11-month old! We can EAT! Ha ha ha

And btw NELRP Help, I may not be able to say much about myself, but I can tell you that I know I am a good nurse. And I've always felt that I didn't deserve the student loan debt that I have just because I didn't have wealthy parents or the means to provide for my education. So thank you! Your job is very important to so many good people...And I hope that Hurricane Irene doesn't travel near you guys! I live in New Orleans, LA so I know first-hand what the devastation of hurricanes can do to people. I finished my nursing school career in a movie theatre by the way because of Katrina!!

Loving life right now though!!

I got my letter July 22nd Friday and faxed back on Monday, at the bottom of my award letter was a fax date to the HHS secretary for a signature on July 25th so they may have already selected and seeing who returns the email fax back correctly and on time. NELRP HELP: Is it safe to say that everyone that got an email gets selected? How many got awarded this year? where can I find statistics for FY 2010? thanks.
