Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful!

NELRP Help - any chance to be awarded if no email was ever received? Or am I way out of the running at this point :(

Before logging off for a while I have a simple request - or at least something to think about. There were nearly 8000 applications received this year. Out of these we can fund very few. I love being here to help support and inform and it is a thrill to hear the excitment and relief when 'the letter' arrives. But please be compassionate and supportive of the many that are waiting and stressing and we were NOT able to help. Not sure how to even suggest how to enact this, but just be aware and compassionate.

I don't get to check my mail until I get home @ around 7:30 too. I hope there's a letter!! I'll let ya'll know! Did someone from Texas say that they received their letter too? Because I am in Louisiana and I am wondering how long it would take to get mail all the way down here in the south??!

Anyone in the Midwest hear anything yet? Nothing in my mail today, hoping it is because the mail needs another day to travel to my mailbox! It seems that people towards the east side are receiving their letters, lets hope the rest of us receive ours too!

Thank you all for the sweet words. I am very sad about this and will probably and may have to leave nursing to make better money to pay these student loans off. Not many of the hospitals pay well in my area. So its either go travel nurse or leave the field all together.

Congrats again to everyone who got funded. Go paint the town pink! :)

I am so sorry beachprincess...i know exactly how you feel...i am so stressed over this entire process but i do understand why it has to be so precise. I am so thankful to have this opportunity to apply for this program. I want to wish everyone goid luck in opening their mailboxes...mine was empty in SC today...i even checked my neighbors to see if was mixed up in hers...i just wonder how long does the mail take from DC to SC?....

All - please keep in mind ONLY THE FIRST batches went out on Monday. There are many more to come, but I do not have a timeframe to offer.

It literally can and probably will be several more weeks before all are notified. I know and appreciate how much this sucks, but there is absoluletly nothing I can do about it. I hate to see you all hanging on each mail delivery with BPs rising by the hour (and remember, tackling your mailman can be considered a federal offense!!lol)

You could try to email or PM a new friend you made on the board! I bet if you are patient with him and willing to take bad as well as good news this could be useful.
