I graduated in May of 2010... There are still people I graduated with that don't have a nursing job yet... If they have a position for you; you should take it and when you have 4 years experience and a little money save up from living at home THEN move to the city when you are marketable. Speaking from experience, relocating is expensive! With repaying loans and paying bills it is still difficult to make ends meet. Be thankful that this hospital invested time and money in your future!

Angelgirl, The first deposit you received was double the repayment amount promised correct? As mentioned previously; this was your deposit for sept and oct as the fiscal year ended and this impacted the deposits. You can call the help desk for clarification if u need, but they will let u know that they gave double deposits to all recipients in September. Hopefully you saved what u needed to accordingly! Hope this helps!

Kim, they did 2 deposits last month. (if u were in the later group you got one deposit for double the promised repayment amount). We believe that this is because the fiscal year ended. Hope this helps

Be careful with her... Ultimately you are the RN and have been trained to use clinical judgment. She does not seem safe in her practice and should be written up!!! Your liscence should be fine as long as you make sure that each of u are acting within your scope of practice. CNAs should not be adjusting O2. And have not been trained to make clinical judgements in regard to medications. And they certainly should NOT be acting against MD orders and giving a resident thin liquids when they have a risk of aspiration. Thin liquids under supervision does not stop that resident from aspirating and acquiring healthcare acquired pneumonia. Pudding thick liquids tells me that this person has already failed thin liquids,Honey thick liquids, and nectar thick liquids. She sounds very unsafe!!!!!!

I agree. Maternity leave us nit an unplanned absence, therefore u were completely in the right about your "absences". If they do not hire you, u can request to know what grounds they made their decision on.

Time management. Time management. Time management... I work 12 hour nights and sometimes still don't have enough time to finish everything!! Depending on staff overnight, and the Ed census, u can still get killed!!! I would imagine it could be the same on OB... Babies are born all day and night long!!!
