So here's to another 5 months of nail biting. I work at a DSH with a 110% debt/income ratio. I received a phone call from HRSA to complete conference calls with my loan providers to obtain pay off amounts in the beginning of March! I checked my credit report and they have made an inquiry. My dates have already changed on my application. Should I be happy that it's happening so fast? Or is it a bad sign? I've poured through previous posts from years past and there doesn't seem to be a clear cut pattern. Some people got calls, some didn't....some got awards, some didn't....etc. I just hope that they aren't effected by the government shut down and we'll have to wait even longer!:anbd:

hey BevRN, do you know why they called you to complete a conference call? Do you know if they call everyone who gets awarded or do they only call people for missing information or what? Sorry just as nervous as everyone else, I guess!

It was a conference call to obtain the payoff dates....not sure if they do it only if they have questions or not. They seem like an elusive group, they can't seem to answer any questions directly. The woman I spoke with admitted that she was "new" so she was freshly trained in the art of not saying anything to either encourage or discourage. Sigh.:icon_roll

ha ha ha ha! that is funny actually. That's actually the perfect way to describe the employees that answer the phone because they definitely attempt to word themselves appropriately! ha ha ha

So I finally figured it out when people were talking about their dates on the website changing. Mine have changed, but nothing else has happened. Maybe everyones dates change as they go through the applications??? Have anyone's dates not changed???

Mine haven't changed. :( I click on the loan section and all the dates are the same.

Well, keep faith. Maybe they are looking at applications in the order they were submitted, or by debt ratio. :)

my dates did not change last year when i didn't get it. but I had filled out my application wrong last year, stating that I worked at a "nondisproportiationate share hospital" when in fact, I work at a DSH hospital; and I didn't realize it but that put my ranking way down when I was supposed to be in the first rank. So I'm not sure. Maybe the dates change for all who work in the first rank and it doesn't mean anything if it changes or doesn't? I don't know. I just remember last year's thread when everyone was talking about how their dates changed and those people all had gotten money. And mine didn't change and I got nada! I don't know though; it ain't over till it's over, I guess. Anyone else heard anymore news? Credit checks? etc...?? What's worrying me is that I haven't heard anything from my student loan people about anyone inquiring about me. I wonder if that means that I'm not going to get anything. But I did see that people were getting acceptance letters all the way up till like 2 days before the cutoff date last year which is crazy! So keep up the hope guys!

I wish I knew if anyone got money whose dates DIDN'T change.... Mine still could, but I'm not holding my breath.

Amy, so if we don't get it because we filled something out wrong as opposed to just the money running out they will tell us where we screwed up right?

I have to keep telling myself that we have plenty of time still! No need to freak out so early... right??

I haven't heard anything and my dates haven't changed...

As someone who received NELRP for all 3 years (just finished my last contract in September), I just wanted to say it can happen! Good luck to each of you, I wish you all the best!
