I too am getting discouraged. I have Sallie Mae as my main loan people and I've received no correspondence from them, nor Great Lakes (my other loan people). So I am feeliing a little blue. But I still have high hopes, unfortunately. I can say until I'm blue in the face that I go through life wishing for the best, and expecting the least, but that won't change the fact that I will brokenhearted yet again if I do not receive this funding. Sucks but that's just how I am!! Still, I keep on praying! Ya'll definitely keep posting any news please!

So I got a little crazy on my off day this week. :eek: I called my lenders to see if anyone had inquired about my loan.....AND nothing. I then was frustrated so I called the NELRP 800 number to see if I could get any info from them. I just wanted to know if they had at least recieved the application, and they would tell me nothing. My debt ratio is 161%. I thought for sure that it was high, but now I just dont know. Oh well..got keep waiting it out. The people at NELRP told me that the people who get awarded will not know until august at the earliest, and that is all they would say.

So here's to another 5 months of nail biting. I work at a DSH with a 110% debt/income ratio. I received a phone call from HRSA to complete conference calls with my loan providers to obtain pay off amounts in the beginning of March! I checked my credit report and they have made an inquiry. My dates have already changed on my application. Should I be happy that it's happening so fast? Or is it a bad sign? I've poured through previous posts from years past and there doesn't seem to be a clear cut pattern. Some people got calls, some didn't....some got awards, some didn't....etc. I just hope that they aren't effected by the government shut down and we'll have to wait even longer!:anbd:

Hey guys, I also received a credit check in late March and most of my dates have changed in the loan section. I am not sure if it's a good sign, but at least it means they are getting through some applications! :)

So if anyone has received an award in the past that had NO signs until they got their request for contact info email I would love to hear it! I've heard/seen nothing. I haven't checked my credit report, but if I only get one free one per year I'd rather wait until things get a tad closer. I work at a DSH with 158% debit income ratio. I hate this crap. 

Nothing yet for me. I'm getting nervous thinking I must have filled the applicaion too late or made some kind of mistake filling it out. They are very strict. BevRN and PICURN20 I was just wondering when did you submit your applications, Jan? Feb?

I submitted my application on 1/24. Maybe they are verifying applications in the order they received them?

I submitted my electronic application on 1/13, and mailed in the required documents the following day. I think PICURN is onto something....

Hopefully. I didn't submit my online app until 2/4-2/5ish I think. I snail mailed my supplemental forms and I believe they arrived in the AM of 2/8/11.

well, i sent my application in january 5th and i still have heard nothing, nada, zilch, zip!!! i'm starting to get discouraged since so many of you know that they've at least inquired about you. my dates definitely changed on my loan part and it says 2/11/11 or 2/15/11 on them and i checked my credit report earlier in march and it said nothing. and i have sallie mae as my primary loan people and they've sent me no correspondence or anything like that to let me know someone is inquiring about me. sucks!!! when HRSA called you, did they call your cell phone? or did they leave a voice message or what exactly did they say? I have about 150% debt/income ratio and also work @ a DSH hospital in New Orleans, LA. This money would be such a miracle! Sigh

Does anybody know if THEY ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO ASK YOU TO CHECK YOUR LOAN INFORMATION? LIKE IS IT NECESSARY? I JUST am trying to stay positive and hopeful but it's getting difficult.
