Is this what you are talking about?...
We had to use one during nursing school (in fact the guy that founded Pocket Nurse graduated from our nursing school some years back) but when I brought it onto my job this summer I was about laughed off the floor. They haven't used carpujets in years. Everything is pretty much diluted anyhow with ns flushes. At least that's the policy at our hospital.
Chenospirit....yes that is what I am talking about. We order bulk from Pocket Nurse (I teach nursing) and they are very common in certain regional areas. For instance. Almost all narcotics in this area come in prefilled tubex's, so you need a tubex, carpujet or you can withdraw from the slim glass tubex into another syringe/needle combo. Pocketnurse sells different types and most to schools, ems and clinics. When I work in ER or ICU, I always have my own blue carpujet in my pocket, you never know what you might have to give.

Hi!!
Does anyone know where I can get the blue plastic tubex's?? I would like to get a few if I can find them. I have tried looking just about everywhere. We have one in our entire hospital (small hospital!!) and it was thrown in the sharps container today.
Thanks!!
