I took this post off due to all of the bad comments.

i was getting instead of the help i was looking for.

thank you. to all of the people that gave words of kindness .

veedot, I'm not sure about your state but in Texas no one is allowed to sit for the NCLEX without completing the required number of hours and graduating from an accredited program. There are no exceptions even if you feel you have the knowledge to pass the exam. Hopefully you will be able to find another school where you can start again. More than likely however, since you left on bad terms from your previous school, you will have to start at the beginning. I am unsure as to whether your grades and coursework will be "credited" by the old school to transfer to the new. Have you considered checking to see if there is a community college program there? They are MUCH less expensive, same length of time, and many times they offer a more quality education than those expensive schools. That may be an option.

As for the school loan, it must be paid back. The government requires it (if it's a Stafford or other type of government loan) and will default you for non-payment. This can lead to garnishment of wages, law suits, etc. The best thing to do is speak with the loan office (there is usually a 1-800 # to call or speak with the financial aid desk at your school for contact info) to determine payment arrangements. Most loans agree to a period of time of six months to a year before payments begin to allow you time to find work and get settled. There is also the option of paying in a hardship status. This is where your payments would begin at a low amount and steadily increase over time. This allows you to work and pay more as your pay increases.

As terrible as you feel, you need to focus on the future and what you can do to redeem yourself. Regardless of whether you cheated or not, your reputation is tarnished and you are now labeled. You will have to work to gain the trust of any future schools and employers. If the other person did in fact lie, their deceit will come back to them and repay them.

I wish you the best and hope you are able to come to a positive resolution with all of this.

thank you for your advice. it was very soothing to my heart .to know there are some good hearted people out here .to lend there voice when needed.

All:

- I apologize if I came across too harsh.

- Like the rest of you, I would like to really find out what happened with "veedot".

- Until we are honest - first with ourselves - then with each other, nothing in this game (be it computer science (my current field) or nursing (my future field)) will get changed.

- In order for "veedot" to solve her problem - she needs to be totally honest with herself.

- Again, sorry if it sounds like a verbal attack.

Veedot,

So sorry to hear about what happened, regardless of fault. A few words of advice.

Please learn to write/express yourself better. This is not intended to be rude, but people do judge you by the way you communicate. And the fact that you were within 1.5 monthes of graduation from any school, and type the above post, makes me have serious worries about the school system that you are from. I know that you are stressed, and we are not Rhodes scholars ourselves, but your post is very difficult to read. And if we are noting that, it must come across to instructors, potential employers and possibly patients. We all have spelling, and punctuation issues, but yours are to the extreme.

It is obvious that there is much more to this story, than we will ever be told. But please do not use the "rascism" card. Everyone in this world has an "ism" that affects them. You will immediately alienate most anyone by using that label.

John Coxey,

While I may agree with some of your points, it might help to be a little more tactful in expressing them. Being rude generally gets one ignored and is not all that useful. (Wondering where Hannibal Lector is, with his quote of "Eats the Rude?")

mr. john i am being very honest. and because you dont think so . im very sorry to here that . but what i wrote is the hole entire story broken down into a small version. so i could put it on this site but i could write a book about what went on in that school .and people would be amazed of all that has happen to me .and other students of color who went there and all of my classmates. stand behind me 100%. and they are scared to speak out now .about it until they graduate because they dont know what will happen to them .and thats the whole class who wants this school to be looked at. in a diiferent light because we can,t believe that in 2003 that this is still going .on and that they are getting away with this .so yes its alot more to this story but i just put in the facts. but you know what ?i am going to when i get time. i will start from the beginning to the end on what has happen to me. and then you judge but if you think that racism is not out here .then you need to wake john and take a good look around ????

thank you muse??

I live in your area and prejudice DOES exist-however it is reverse prejudice in that minority students receive favor....I also have seen that in the past few years the quality of students from our area programs has declined-both RN and LPN.I know nurses that speak just like this veedot-or Mario-or whomever....
passing thru Mario?
