Need help preparing for the Hesi A2 Entrance Exam

U.S.A. Michigan

I bought the study guide but I have heard it is not much help when preparing for this test. I will be taking it in Nov at MCC. I was wondering if anyone bought "Hesi Test Secrets" from Morrison Media. It is $40, but it is worth it?

Any study advice would be appreciated!

I remember reading on another thread that it was a waste of money. Try doing a search and maybe you can find it.

Hello I still have a few of my sciences to finish before I take the Hesi but I am already stressed out. The college I am attending just added the hesi as 50% of the entrance requirement and as it stands I am a 3.3 study which is not promising. I was wondering does anyone know if the flash cards from flash card secrets help?

Don't waste your money! They were of no help to me. I took the hesi twice and scored lower when I used the flashcards!

does anyone know how the hesi a2 compares to the NET ? I took the NET and did horrible on the reading comprehension, which of course, was the only part considered for admissions. Now, the NET has been replaced by the HESI A2, so does anyone know if they are similar?

Specializes in NICU, PICU, Family Medicine.

Is an school here in the USA still accepting application to the BSN PROGRAM?

thanks

i have to only test in reading speed and comprehension, command of the english language, and mathematic ability.

whew - i just took the HESI A2 this morning and got 92% overall. I did 90-100 on everything except anatomy, which I got 80% on. I studied really hard for that part, too, because I knew it was my weakest spot. The rest of the test wasn't too bad. So study anatomy and workings of the cell (components, membranes, etc.) really good!!

Congratulations CKitty! I am nervous because I am taking my exam next Thursday and I don't feel ready. I have done extremely well in all of my classes up to this point, but the study guide is stressing me out!!! Physics???? I haven't even taken a physics class!!!! I was overwhelmed enough when I saw the chemistry review. But that was nothing in comparison to the physics section. Any advise?

You should be fine! I had studied up on physics, memorizing formulas; but there wasn't any on the tests I took... If you don't have a section on it, don't worry about it!

Thanks for the advice! :yeah:

I have to take the HESI A2 in a couple months; I'm currently finishing up my science prereqs. From all of the blogs I've read, it seems pretty ambiguous as far as what study guides are the most beneficial.

Does anyone have any straightforward advice on what study guides to use to prepare for this test?? Or any helpful information in regards to preparation??

HELP...please!!

Thank you, ckitty. I really appreciate your help!

I'm so nervous about taking this test!
