Need help preparing for the Hesi A2 Entrance Exam

Published

I bought the study guide but I have heard it is not much help when preparing for this test. I will be taking it in Nov at MCC. I was wondering if anyone bought "Hesi Test Secrets" from Morrison Media. It is $40, but it is worth it?

Any study advice would be appreciated!

Hello Everyone,

I plan on taking the HESI A2 exam in September for Brookhaven College. I wanted to know if anyone had suggestions as to what were the best study guides. I have heard the Evolve second edition was pretty good. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

I read through the Evolve first edition (it's what my brother owned) and haven't taken any of the subjects covered for over 30 years. I scored a 95% overall. I did look at the second edition and it looked like they covered chemistry a little more thoroughly so that may be an even better bet! Good luck!

Thank you janice26. I just want to make sure I score really well on it and appreciate your input! @ momtofore thank you and I will definitely purchase the study guide!

I am new to this site and will be taking my exam next month.

no way,if homeland security see's you doing that, your headed for a big fine.Didn't you read the yahoo news about 3 or 4 weeks ago then they just show up to your house and confiscate all your computers.as matter of fact people getting in trouble because imagine someone is doing stuff threw your router like people next door because your router isn't secure then they show up at your house thinking you did it.they talked about that also turns out they hassle you first then eventually catch the neighbor.

Artofgrace,

Hi how are you? I took the Hesi A2 entrance exam for the pn program. I bummed the math portion but passed the other 5 test given. I not that good at math and I plan t go to Barns and Nobles tomorrow to get the Hesi Evolve Admission Assessment Exam Review book. In your opinion is it helpful to those who are like me...Suck at math? I only have one more try to take the exam on June 10, 2011. God Bless

Hi i was wondering if you had to take the anatomy and biology section of the hesi a2. Im so nervous because I dont know how in depth the questions are or if its basic.

I am taking this test tomorrow morning and I am freaking out. I am not good at math, although I have taken Alg II and I am a nervous wreck! See that this book has a lot of mistakes in the answers. DISLIKE :/

Anyone have any advice for me?? :(

HA! I rocked that A2 test! It took me 3 hours, but I am so happy!

Good job, purplecav!

Yanetsi22, each school chooses which portions of the test they require. It would help to give the school(s) you're looking at a call and ask!

Thank you momtofore! Each school has different portions they test on. My school only tested on math, reading comp, vocab and grammar. Make sure you know what portions to test on before going to the testing center (mine was Prometrix) because it is not their job to tell you what portions to take. The guy told me that those portions were the areas "most schools" test on. You dont want to have to pay to take the test twice, so be sure you know if the AP portion is required.
