Hey everyone! Okay so Im taking the NCLEX in the morning at 0800 and I am officially sick at the thought of it! Im nauseated and cant eat anything and everytime I miss a question when studying I freak out! I have done the Kaplan and a Mosbys book, both with questions. I have also done the 3500 NCLEX questions and even downloaded an app for my itouch that I use everytime Im away from my books. My scores for all of the questions are around 62-68%. I know that I can do this but I have horrible test anxiety and am super exhausted and scared! While I was looking through my LaCharity book today, I hit a lot of questions that I got wrong on delegation to an LPN. Im working as a GN in an ICU right now, so I think that Im thinking of what our LPN's can do and applying it to the quizzes, but their wrong. Can anyone help me out and gimme a little bit of what NCLEX LPN's can do? Plz?! And plz pray for me, as I will for anyone else taking the boards soon! Thanks! :uhoh3:

all teaching have to be done by rn (lpn can reinforce)

lpn can administer metered dose resp meds (but can't teach the patient how to)

all assessments have to be done by rn (lpn can observe, collect information, gather data, tell you how something, or some one looks but not assess)

lpn can give meds, (narcotics needs rn) lpn can't hang blood)

lpn can do tracheostomy care, folley and change a dressing (the first dressing change needs an assessment so it's done by the rn, complex dressing changes are done by the rn)

lpn can't start a plan of care but can add information to it.

Right there with you guys!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been having palpitations all day!!!!!!!!! I was at a point where I was thinking "I know what I know and what I don't know, oh well." Now I'm worried about Oncology stuff!!!!!! ARGH!!

I am right there with you Erin, even played video games today, but as the sun set I started freaking out, I HATE SATA!!!!

Me too!!! I just memorized the immunization schedule. Oncology was way too complicated to study at this point. I'm on the verge of tears and think I'm just going to go to bed and hope for the best!!

I had Oncology on my first attempt. Maybe 3-5 questions. Know what neutropenic precautions are... such as no fresh fruits, no fresh flowers, private room in hospital.

P.S. I am an LPN in Oncology... two years! I have a job waiting for me as an Oncology Nurse!!!!! Sooooo excited!

i would be doomed with all those meds unless they were all cardiac

Good luck to ya, thanks for keeping us up to date
