NCLEX-RN: 265 questions and PASSED!

Published

For those of you out there that have recently taken the NCLEX-RN and had to go the whole dreadful 265 questions-do not think you automatically failed! I took mine Friday morning at 8am..and just found out the results today Sunday at 8:52am and I PASSED!!!!! All of my friends were saying they stopped at 75 and under 100, so after I passed that number I was losing all hope and dignity..cried my eyes out all the way home and couldn't stop shaking! I would have bet my life on it that I failed..that's how sure I was..the test screws with your mind big time! I talked it over with a few people and they said if you have a lot of multiple-multiples it's a good sign because they are higher difficulty questions..so just because you had to take every question DO NOT automatically think you failed!

There are a lot of things I did differently the second. The biggest one is that the first time I was not ready emotionally I almost unconciously didn't want to pass. I barely studied and did not take my time and read the questions. The second time I wanted to pass I used Suzanne's plan which is fabulous and although I got all 265 again I felt different, I took my time, and felt ready.

I hope that helps:D

I also had those stupid SATAS and Ridiculous priority questions.. UGH!!! NO CALCULATIONS AND IM ON MY 2ND DAY waiting for the result! This waiting is worst than Nazi! :( I wish NCLEX would change the way they make their exam... its so nerve wracking! I feel like I failed!

Hey guys!!! I have to share my experience because it was crazy. First of all, it took my 4 tries to pass this horrible NCLEX exam. I took my exam yesterday and on my way there my car broke down...I had to wait for my fiance to come...so that he could wait for AAA. Luckily, my car broke down, across the street from the center. When, I got to the center, they lady told me "We are pressed for time"....your talking about someone having an anxiety attack!! However, I knew that it must be my season and my time because God has my back and all of this is happening to me because Satan is mad and confused...because I still pressed. I sat down at the computer prayed and started the questions...question 1 seemed hard to me but I took my time, paced myself and I didn't take any breaks. I went the long haul...had 265 questions...I do remember that I got that last few correct. I say my story to say, "Don't give up!!! There is light at the end of the tunnel." You can make it!!!:):)

Congratulations on passing the NCLEX exam.

However you need to be aware that you are not considered a US RN since you have not had a license issued to you. CA will not issue a license without a SSN#, and the exam is only part of the licensure process.

Wishing you the best.

how did ur test go on.. i mean what mostly was the questions

I had mostly, priority, What do you do first? Who you should you see first? I had 4 or 5 SATA, I had one "drag and put in order" question. Alot of med questions, and several contact precaution questions.

Congratulations to you and your career!!:yeah::yeah::coollook:

One of my co-workers said that every person who took the test the day he did had 265. Not sure how often this happens.

wow, that's crazy! I hope that really isn't true, to save some of the test takers some sanity :0)

I took my NCLEX-RNfor the first time this morning and of course like everyone else on this forum was doing I'M FLIPPING OUT. I wasn't paying attention to the number of questions I answered but it was around mid 80's. I was alittle upset when I went passed 75, but said to myself your still in this. This is gonna be the longest wait EVER. Is it really 48 hours??? Do you think my number is good?? I know nobody knows. I just want this nightmare over. I want a life again. Thanks for listening.
