NCLEX-RN: 265 questions and PASSED!

Published

For those of you out there that have recently taken the NCLEX-RN and had to go the whole dreadful 265 questions-do not think you automatically failed! I took mine Friday morning at 8am..and just found out the results today Sunday at 8:52am and I PASSED!!!!! All of my friends were saying they stopped at 75 and under 100, so after I passed that number I was losing all hope and dignity..cried my eyes out all the way home and couldn't stop shaking! I would have bet my life on it that I failed..that's how sure I was..the test screws with your mind big time! I talked it over with a few people and they said if you have a lot of multiple-multiples it's a good sign because they are higher difficulty questions..so just because you had to take every question DO NOT automatically think you failed!

wow! answering 265 questions, that was pretty tiring! i may go crazy if i stopped at that number!

I never heard of the How to pass 101, but the Kaplan on-line Q-bank was very helpful. I took every question on there. You got select to make a test on the questions that you got wrong. This was a GREAT tool. The NCLEX was set up exactly like the questions Kaplan offered in the Q-bank so it felt like another Kaplan quiz. I only took Kaplan, so cannot say or judge other review courses. I also bought other NCLEX review books but once I got the Kaplan book I used nothing else. Kaplan goes by the blue print for the NCLEX. Tells you what and where to concentrate. I was a C student in nursing school. I am a single parent with two kids, three dogs and planning a destination wedding in July. So I think to pass with only 85 questions the first time around tells you I studied hard with the help of Kaplan. I would not have passed without that course. I swear I don't work for Kaplan. lol Best of luck. I need to look for a job.

:D Congratsssss to you...I hope you can find the best job soon and enjoy life...

I am glad I do not have to study anymore and GOODLuck to anyone who has taken it or is planning to take it soon.

Congratulations!!!:yeah:

I took the NCLEX last Friday. After 75 questions I started feeling a little down but kept going. At question 95 the computer asked me if I wanted to take a break - I said no. Answered question 96 and the computer went off!!! I was soooooooooooo HAPPY! When I went home I checked the answer to question 96 and found I had answered it correctly! Needless to say, I passed! Still VERY EXCITED!
