For those of you out there that have recently taken the NCLEX-RN and had to go the whole dreadful 265 questions-do not think you automatically failed! I took mine Friday morning at 8am..and just found out the results today Sunday at 8:52am and I PASSED!!!!! All of my friends were saying they stopped at 75 and under 100, so after I passed that number I was losing all hope and dignity..cried my eyes out all the way home and couldn't stop shaking! I would have bet my life on it that I failed..that's how sure I was..the test screws with your mind big time! I talked it over with a few people and they said if you have a lot of multiple-multiples it's a good sign because they are higher difficulty questions..so just because you had to take every question DO NOT automatically think you failed!
Hey congrats to you on passing!!!:yeah:
. I took my Nclex this morning feeling confident and when I got to question 70 I thought, only 5 more to go. Well it went all the way to 256 before it cut off. I started crying during the test when i got to number 170 and have been crying ever since. I took the train home which broke down before I made it to the train station and had to take a taxi. than I had a ticket on my car because I forgot to pay for parking. I am still crying but after reading about your success, I feel as if there is a little hope. I will be on the couch with my head buried under covers til wednesday which is my bday Ugh!:sofahider
tlk... What did you do differently the second time? I took it and also got 265 and am kind of at a loss for how to study again. Obviously when it shuts off at the end it means you came close... I haven't gotten my letter in the mail yet, but did it tell you which areas you were weak? Did you focus on those?
Oh my goodness, you said everything I feel. Took my NCLEX today, and I feel like Saunders and I even did Mosby's and that did not help me at all. The wording is different. I had all 265 questions, and man I am so mentally drained. I am just hoping I passed, because I don't want to have to take that test ever again. I took me 5 1/2 hours to take the test. I was also one of the last ones there.....so embarrassing! I don't wish anyone to feel the way I did today. Stay positive and keep focused on the test. As long as you are answering questions you are still in the race.
