  1. Even though I failed the first attempt, my IP was still listed. I took my second attempt 3/18 and I PASSED!
  2. it was my second try and i also got 75 questions. no calculation, lots of meds, lots of sata, prioritization and patient teaching. the trick wont let me register again and i am worried because i took it at 8am and was a little sleepy.......... i have heard of people in cali finding out in two days so now i am worried, but it's good to know there are others!!!!
  3. took the nclex-rn march 18th in cali. waiting is brutal.
  4. So I wasn't really THAT close then since I got "near passing" in almost all areas?
  5. Thank you! That is what I needed to know. All this time I was waiting for something in the mail. I registered... can they send me an ATT before my 45 days are up and tell me not to register before then, or will they wait the 45 days and then send me the ATT? Thank you so much again! It's all so confusing.
  6. I failed the NCLEX-RN on Jan 28. I got my results in the mail, sent back my interim permit and paid the $75 to re-apply. My 45 days will be up March 15... but I have not yet received word from the BRN that I can schedule again. Aren't they supposed to send me a new ATT or something so I can sign up again? I sent everything almost two weeks ago. Do they wait until after the 45 days have passed before they send me something? I hate California.
  7. I finally got my results from the BRN and after 265 questions I was ABOVE passing standard in one area and NEAR passing standard in all of the rest. Do you have to be above passing standard in ALL areas, or how does it work? Anyone know? I'll be honest... I did not study as much as I should have. This time around, I am doing the Saunders quizzes and Kaplan online Qtrainer and Qbank. I am considering the learningext. thing... should I? I feel like I am still right there... could pass, could fail, never doing so great on anything that I feel comfortable, but never doing bad enough to think "no wonder you failed." Any suggestions? Thanks!
  8. Was it course specific (Peds, Med/Surg, Pharm, etc.) or was it one of the comprehensive ones? I, too, had ATI tests throughout nursing school. We could not pass the course until we met certain scores on the ATI exams at the end of each semester. I never, ever had to re-take an ATI until my very last semester... and it was the comprehensive. We had to acheive a 95% chance of passing the NCLEX on our first try before we could graduate. I got a 94% and had to take the ATI again. I got a 98% chance of passing the NCLEX on the first try the second time I took the ATI... but failed. So, it's not the greatest indicator. I know that ATI has an actual NCLEX prep program (not just the tests and books that you get throughout your nursing program) but have not heard if it is helpful or not. For that much money you can do Kaplan, and many people pass with Kaplan...
  9. Did you do the course, the online kit, book...? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!
  10. NVM... Finally got ahold of the BRN. File complete, wait 10-30 days by mail...
  11. I said that exact same thing to my mother when I got out of my test! I would pay $100+ to get my results! These last two weeks of waiting have been the worst of my life. I just want to know if I failed so I can get on with my life.
  12. http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800 Is there a different one???
  13. Frustrating! I sat for my boards two weeks ago today and tried calling the BRN to ensure my file is complete, but can't talk to anyone. It says there are a high volume of calls and that they can't accept any more at this time. Anyone have any luck? A specific time you used to call? Anyone try the e-mail address listed on the site? They will be closed tomorrow (Thurs, 2/12) and Mon (2/16).
  14. tlk... What did you do differently the second time? I took it and also got 265 and am kind of at a loss for how to study again. Obviously when it shuts off at the end it means you came close... I haven't gotten my letter in the mail yet, but did it tell you which areas you were weak? Did you focus on those?
  15. Hang in there :) Some of us have been waiting nearly two weeks...
