NCLEX-RN passed with 265 questions!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Today I found out I passed the NCLEX-RN exam after having answered an excruciating 265 questions. I finished considerably after all the other NCLEX-RN test-takers in the exam room, and came out of the testing center absolutely sure I had failed. The questions were difficult and I was unfamiliar with so much of the content, I just knew I would be back testing again. And as another note, I had plenty of trouble answering these kinds of questions in nursing school, too, so I just figured I was not prepared to run with the big boys....

Anyway, I am posting this note to say thank you to all that have posted here saying that you had passed the exam with 265 questions! But for you all, I surely would have had exactly NO hope for anything other than a failure.

If you find yourself needing to re-take the NCLEX-RN, remember this: JFK Jr. did not pass the bar exam on his first try either!

Best wishes to all of you who have passed, and to those of you who may be taking the exam in the future. (:

I just found out today that I passed as well with 265 questions! So everyone out there worried about getting the max amount of questions, don't worry too much because it is possible! I'm the happiest I've ever been and loving having RN after my name!

Hi and Congrats to you!!

I took the test on Thursday and finished 2:30 with 265 q's also. But the wait is making me loose hope. Please offer advice if you can.

sunshine500,

I took the test on a Thursday, but didn't see my name on the BON list until the following Tuesday. Another friend of mine took the test on Thursday and didn't see her name on the BON list until the following Wednesday! Even though the test results are computerized, there is some kind of a test verification process that happens after that, and apparently the timeframe varies from BON to BON. I think I saw somewhere that it can take up to 10 days for the BON site to reflect the names after the NCLEX-RN. So, be prepared to wait.

If for any reason you do not pass, consider this test to be a "dry run" through the process. Good luck to you!

76 questions and 48 hours later, I passed!!!!!

Now what? Do I have to register on GA BON to get my license? How does it work from here to become legal and all that jazz to become an actual Registered WORKING nurse?

Thanks for the info guys. I got my results and I have failed again. Don't know what to do now. Please help if you can.

You are not alone Sunshine. You are NOT alone. Take a moment. Breathe. Have a good cry, bubble bath, glass of wine, walk, play w/ kids/pets...But give yourself a break, k? This is a sad thing, but not the end. You're got terrific drive and great attitude. You will be ok and we are all here for you. :kiss
