NCLEX-RN passed with 265 questions!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Today I found out I passed the NCLEX-RN exam after having answered an excruciating 265 questions. I finished considerably after all the other NCLEX-RN test-takers in the exam room, and came out of the testing center absolutely sure I had failed. The questions were difficult and I was unfamiliar with so much of the content, I just knew I would be back testing again. And as another note, I had plenty of trouble answering these kinds of questions in nursing school, too, so I just figured I was not prepared to run with the big boys....

Anyway, I am posting this note to say thank you to all that have posted here saying that you had passed the exam with 265 questions! But for you all, I surely would have had exactly NO hope for anything other than a failure.

If you find yourself needing to re-take the NCLEX-RN, remember this: JFK Jr. did not pass the bar exam on his first try either!

Best wishes to all of you who have passed, and to those of you who may be taking the exam in the future. (:

I passed the Nclex with 265 questions. So many SATA and tons of medications that for some strange reason I knew not all but few of them. I was able to eliminate alot. I used the MPR book to help with the meds. If could give any advice I would say know you lab values Priority( who would you see first) realizing that airway will not always be your first choice. Know the different diease process. I had a few math questions maybe 8 or so. I cant tell you the last time I look at a math problem. I felt that math was the least of my worries. When I passed 150 i knew that I was gonna take it to the end.. After the test I felt so empty I could not get home fast enough to do the PVT. My hands were shaking. I was so afraid of seeing that cc page that I saw on my first attempt but I saw something that I never saw before... I havent felt this good since giving birth to my 2nd son while in Nursing School.

Just took Nclex today and got 265 max questions.. I studied Hurst and Kaplan for a month everyday faithfully! But after getting the max, and feeling like I guessed on alot of questions makes me feel like I didnt pass which left me in tears.. Does anyone know if its true on your last question if its not a priority question you fail? Please help with any info or advice, Im going crazy until I find out results.

265!!!! long and painful, because i thought for sure this meant i was doing poorly... but if anything now i think its more reassuring that your moving along because your doing something right!!! i was a nervous wreck after taking my nclex rn 3/6/2012 could of put my life on it that i would have to reschedule but its because of all of these misleading blogs of 75! doesn't matter how many you get right, you can pass or fail at any particular time. if i went into that exam knowing this it would of went a lot smoother mentally for me instead of starring at the increase in number of questions i was getting. any advice, if any, don't go in there with any expectations and don't listen to anyone whop gloats about 75. feels amazinggggg 265, whats up!:w00t:

My last question was 100% not a priority so that wise tale is false!

Pearson tricks WORks! My husband passed RN ! :)
