So I called the CA BON...

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

and....so I asked them if my "file was complete" because some of my classmates/other IP's who have taken the NCLEX the same day I have, have gotten their results via the online website and I haven't. :uhoh3:

She said that the BON got my transcripts TODAY so therefore they haven't started "processing my test results" even though I tested last thursday 2/17 :uhoh21:

SO now she said I should check the website on Tuesday, but it could take up to 2 or 4 weeks for me to FIND OUT :angryfire ......thats 2-4 weeks from TODAY so basically all the waiting I have been doing for the past 7 days has been for NOTHING b/c they haven't picked up my file b/c my dumb school lagged on sending in the transcripts!!! :angryfire

SO frustrating.....congrats to all who have passed, and to all those who are not so patiently waiting (like me!)....you are NOT alone :crying2:

Hmm. Maybe I should call the BRN to see if my file is complete. Our school of nursing warned us about university administration goofing up on sending final transcripts so they send one as well for backup. I'm wondering.. my friend's name posted on tuesday.. do you think they post all passing names every tuesday??

Good for you for calling!! Otherwise you'd be sweating it out even worse. It sucks that you still have to wait though, I bet they will rush your results through and you'll know by this Tuesday!! Let us know how it goes!!

In the good old days of a 2 day paper exam, results would arrive in the mail 3-4 months post test. Talk about waiting..........:uhoh3:

Every time I read one of these threads, I think the same thing: back in the olden days!!! It was a looonnng wait, believe me. Best thing is just let go of it, keep busy!

yes...luckily i have started my orientation as an IPRN in the PICU so I'm pretty busy w/all the classes we have to take and orientation, so its not as bad as if I were just sitting around in front of the internet all day checking for my name!

You know what though, if we NEVER knew about the website, maybe that would be LESS stressful. I mean, we would assume it would take a week or two to get snail-mail results and would just have to sit it out. But when some people get their name posted online in 2 days while others have to wait 2 weeks, it's pretty nerve-wracking!!!!!!

(sigh) guess i will just have to try and get my mind off it...............

Talking about the good old days of a 2 day paper exam, we graduated, took the NCLEX, passed and went to work. We didn't have any of these review courses. If you graduated, you were prepared to pass. Why all the review books and courses now? Is it just something else to sell?

Well, the exam is more complex then "the good old days". Unless you also had fill in the blanks, check all that apply etc... Not that the exam wasn't difficult way back when, I'm sure but... I don't think I would have taken a review course a couple of years ago, but I sure am going to now...

i know how frustrating it must be for you when you get caught in someone else's glitch

don't let the b________get you down

I PASSED!!!!

WOW so i thought i'd have to wait AT LEAST until next week but.....guess not!!!!!!!

Interesting. So how do you know the NCLEX now is more complex than the good old days. I am studying for the NCLEX again for CA because I let my license lapse and I don't see any difference in the test content. Many cardiac and psychiatric meds are the same. So what is so "complex" about fill in the blanks? You just work the problem out. What is so complex about check all the apply? Certainly since you have graduated from nursing school, you would have the knowledge to know which don't apply.

How would you like to sit for 2 days working complex IV, medicine calculations without a computer?

The person that referred to "the good old days" was being facititious. She was referring to the time it takes to get your results back and how fortunate you to get your results back so fast. That statement in no way implied that the Boards we sat for for 2 days were in any way inferior to the Boards taken today.

Congragulations!
