I got a letter yesterday about being honored does or have anyone else got one of these. I haven't heard about this and was wondering.

I got a letter from "Who's Who in American Women Healthcare Professionals" (or something like that).
I threw it away. 1) I'm not a nurse yet, 2) I haven't worked as a medical assistant in several years, 3)My business ownership doesn't have anything to do with healthcare, so I know it's not about that.
So, I know they bought my name from somewhere.

If there is a fee assosiciated with this "honor," throw the letter out.
Simple as that.

Yep, I have gotten that letter and was talking about it not too long ago in another thread. It's not real, and when you call or sign up, they require you to pay a fee and buy a book.
Throw it out!

Yeah I just got one too. Apparently, I got nominated by Phi Theta Kappa, what about you guys? This thing reminds me of "Who's Who in American High Schools" where you have to pay to put a picture of you on the book, a ring, the book itself, other assorted items. I was reading about the Who's Who not long ago and a lot of people don't give a crap about it.

I received this letter two days ago. My mother thinks it's a big deal. I read between the lines, though, and I have to PAY to have my picture in the book, my autobiography, and if I want my book or story with a cover (apparently, they sell just the story by itself) it's even more money. I'm sure if I told my mom what it really was, she'd tell me to throw it out. So, throw it out if it says anything about a fee.
Mave.
I did the one for the High School Students ONLY because I asked around & not everyone one of my friends received a letter. I can't remember if I bought a book or not....if I did, it's in storage. lol
However, now, the paper is in the trash. How can I be an "outstanding healthcare professional" and I haven't even worked a day in a hospital?
